this is a great analysis from everyone! this is my first listen with HW but i appreciate the leap directly into everyone's psychological depth! i totally agree! while bella is influenced by charlie in her loyalty and relative groundedness, bella also commits to edward with the same abandon that renee showcases with *her* partner. renee met a wonderful guy and was willing to travel the world without relative roots, in the same way that bella commits to a dark and rather secretive and reclusive life with *her* partner. there are several moments in twilight where youre looking at bella's recklessness like, "girl, what is wrong with you?" in the same way that sometimes we judge renee when shes calling from a car garage during a crazy episode. bella is a beautiful blend of charlie's security and renee's romantic impulse. i never would have thought of that without this video. thank you!
