    Thank you Freeze Control for your honest review. It takes me back 50 years ago in July 1971 when I started my 6-year journey (geology) at Peoples' Friendship University-Patrice Lumumba (now RUDN University).
    In our language preparatory year, one African student ( getting ready to study mathematics) said: "once you can say uvilichivaitsa/increasing and uminchaitsa/decreasing, you know Russian."

    Hi, I find your video very interesting and insightful. I've got two remarks. Russia has been changing so fast that what was the norm couple years ago is already gone today. 15 years ago it was typical that men would hang around with beer cans or bottles in their hand. You won't see it today at all (I spent nearly a year in my home city last year and I practically didn't see any drunk people at all). Three or four years ago it was the norm that nearly everybody on the street would be smoking. It's not the case now. Drivers behave differently on the road - they would stop when they see you crossing the street. And so on. Another remark deals with the language. In the videos from another Nigerian student it was mentiond that some medical schools in Russia offer schooling in English. I don't understand it. How about internship when you have to deal with real patients?

    • @moussaalmoussa6989
      @moussaalmoussa6989 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, my Iraqi friend is doing his medicine degree in English. He firstly studied 1year Russian preparatory course and he has been doing his degree for 2 years (there are 3 years left). Now after 3 years of living in Russia, he forgot a lot of what he learned in the first year and now he is capable of understanding 60/100 of Russian but barely speaking few sentences. Moreover, he has no scholarahip.
      The main thing is that if you have a scholarahip and you wanna learn medicine, you have 2 choices, either study it in English (but you can't take a 1 year Russian preparatory course because it is a scholarahip and you are studying it in English), or you choose to study it in Russian and if you don't have a Russian language certificate (which is the norm) you'll get 1 year Russian preparatory course and then start your degree. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
      Now back to your point, if the student is studying in English and didn't put too much effort into learning the language (while being in Russia)to deal with patients, he might get tired a bit but of course the person would have a basic knowledge of Russian in order to get his degree and then move to another country

    I am originally from Syria and I have lived in Lebanon for most of my life. I did my elementary , secondary and even a bachelor's degree of computer science in an average Lebanese university, then went to russia via the goverment scholarship to continue my Master's degree in software engineering (taught in English) in one of the top 10 universities in Russia, and let me tell you something, the management system in Russia sucks. Like first of all, the teachers who teach you barely speak proper English (there was 1 out of 7 teachers was speaking good English). Moreover, the bureaucracy system here is pretty high as if you are committing a crime by asking for a document from the university or from the goverment. Moreover, there might be some courses that are assigned to no teacher, and then when the semester is about to finish, you get surprised that you were supposed to study it(despite having no materials and no teachers), or else, you get expelled from the university(they talk to you as if you are supposed to know the bureaucracy over here). Moreover, the courses seem to be outdated and you need to memorize instead of practically apply all you learnt. (I learnt all the practical things from my previous university in Lebanon so I basically learnt nothing this year that could benefit me).So basically , because of that, i finished my first year only 15 days ago when all students finished 1 and a half month ago and went to their countries to visit their families and I am left with approximately only 1 month in the summer. Fortunately, I have 1 year left and my Russian has gotten slightly better so I am planning to finish my studies and do my doctorate degree outside of Russia.
    Now let me tell you about the pros living here: you get out of your confort zone and you explore a new culture and so many international friends
    In conclusion, my advice to the students is don't come to Russia because of the special military operation and the education system sucks, unless you are willing to study in Russian and having no other choice but to study in Russia

    • @RUSTA5
      @RUSTA5 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah. Im sorry to hear that my friend.
      The truth is that Russia is great to study Engineering, Science or Medicine.

      In Russia, they do not have the right to refuse education to a disabled person. The main thing is to undergo a special medical examination. For disabled people, each university in the Russian Federation provides quotas and state funding for a certain number of students with a disability group. .

    Good day.
    I just graduated from a school in Nigeria here. And I wish to go over to Russia to study Pharmacy. I don't know what school to study in, but I prefer to study in a school in Moscow. Please, can I know what school you're in and are there any ones you'll recommend to me?
    I also want to know what month the language learning class started. And if people that study in English medium are still opportuned to learn Russian language along the way?
    Also, do you happen to have the contact of any agency that can help me with my visa and maybe admission?
    Thank you so much. I anticipate your response.

      The language learning starts in the first of Spetember each year. However, most international students come after 1 month or 2 months so it is harder for them, so the earlier you come the better
      Edit: considering the university, the higher the ranking that the univeristy has, the better (check qs universiry ranking website to see the rankings)
      Considering the question about studying in English and learning Russian along the way, I am gonna tell you it is hard unless you study a bachelor's or phd (because studying masters in english is only 2 years which is not enough to learn the language especially if you are studying in English)

    • @moussaalmoussa6989
      @moussaalmoussa6989 ปีที่แล้ว

      The developed countries need to attract intelligent students from abroad, so they need you if you get a high score in your previous school because the more the university attracts foreign intelligent students, the higher the ranking it gets, the better the results. So the government needs you as an intelligent student as much as you need them.
      Considering your first question about the language of study, you can decide between studying completely in English(without a 1 year Russian preparatory course if you have a scholarship) or in Russian (with 1 year Russian preparatory course) so the choice is yours
