It’s probably three inches of water, about as scary as falling into a puddle. I’d be more concerned with a power failure. You’d have to sit there until it came back on. Which...is really the plot to _Jurassic Park._
Joseph Charles yes, it could be three inches of water but, you also have to realize it’s a boat, the bottom wasn’t scraping on the bottom, so that would atleast be three feet, and not to mention the chains pulling the boat, so that’s probably an extra 2 feet. so that’s 5 feet. Hi carpetbagger. Incase you see this, i just wanted to tell you thank you. Me and my late dad captainakron27 Who passed away a year ago from cancer loved your videos. It was always something we bonded over and we loved all the museums especially. Just thank you for being a great creator, and bringing him joy. The last video he watched was yours. ❤
no cap, i rode this with my mom and dad when i was little and screamed and cried my eyeballs out the entire way through and have been scarred ever since. now finding out i have submechanophobia
I rode this with my parents also when I was like six 😭 But I was silent the whole time from sheer dread lol. I've honestly had a really hard time doing any dark rides since then.
My husband and I went through this in 2010. They had a sign before you pay for your ticket with so many warnings on it (which seemed odd for just a dark ride). We've been through so many haunted houses and just laugh at it but this ride genuinely scared us. The complete darkness, sudden broken down animatronics in your face, unholy screams and suspense made this not fun. There also aren't any bars, belts, or such to keep you inside. Just a boat that jerks through and starts/stops suddenly.
That was much more interesting than I thought it would be. The Brachiosaurus at the start made more of an effort to reach down at the boat than the Universal Studios one does. Also, that pteranodon flying away with the child was great. You wouldn't see something like that in Universal or Disney, which is a shame because it's kind of funny and disturbing. ( More rides could use that combo. )
I went on that ride when it was pretty new. It scared me, but it was all in the dark and the lights would flash and dinosaurs would all move. At the end when the boat rose I seriously thought I was going to fall out of the boat! I wish they kept it up. It's a great classic ride.
That lightning quick velociraptor frozen at a complete standstill! Oooooh! Scary, kids! I'm sure that boat ride was fairly impressive when it first opened, back before the regular maintenance schedule was abandoned. Honestly though, this ride is probably far more entertaining because it's into this strange rundown condition. And it's kind of creepy for us viewers to see you walk up to the building and then suddenly you're in the boat with nary a glimpse of any employee to take your money or help you board the ride. I'm assuming there was *somebody* working there...isn't there? So is there only one boat? And how much did it cost to ride? This was absolutely ghastly fun to watch. Thank you!
CAndrewNelson It's got multiple boats on a cycle and each bench on the boat fits about 2-3 people. Back when it first opened, I believe it was $5 a person.
Him: I recomend this boat ride Dinosaur: ***missing parts or dont move anymore and voice boxes are corrupt*** This ride would give me top notch anxiety
Dr. Jasontheman Dark ride big robots in water bad auido and the rides looks like it's in terrible condition I am scared of my safety and feel unconfirmble
This is straight up terrifying bro The fact that the animatronics are very scary- And that nobody is there- And who knaows how deep that water is??! You are very brave to do this!! 😄
Cool, it looks like a lot of the animatronics needs some TLC though but that's fairly common they're complex things that need a lot of care and attention, and when they're not in a theme park with a dedicated maintenance department things happen
Browsing YT for interesting vids of the Jurassic /Park/ ride at Universal when I come across this...thing of beauty. As a fan of bad animatronics this is probably the greatest thing I've stumbled onto in a long time. What a trip!
I always revisit this video because it is one of the most dread-inducing things I have ever watched in my entire life. I desperately want to go on this ride before I die, but I’m pretty sure if I went alone I’d have a panic attack that would lead into an existential crisis so profound I would be piecing my shattered sense of self together for years to come. Anyway thanks for posting this video I’m obsessed with this horrible decrepit ride now.
*'I don't want a slick overproduced Jurassic boat ride, I kind of like the way it is, lets keep it that way'* mate all the animatronics are broken, either with their pistons & actuators loudly grinding as they move, ceramic parts broken off, leather ripped to shreds, visible mechanical motors & steel joints, or they don't move at all anymore. I mean that trex at the end says it all.
One of the things that just adds to the pure insanity of this ride is that if you listen closely, occasionally you can hear music in the background, but rather than something epic & adventurous, it just sounds like some soothing new age tones. It's most noticeable at. 4:54, 5:59, 6:43, & 7:54
What a strange town, it seems like a low budget Orlando and it looks deserted. The animatronic dinosaurs are a little lame, one of them looked like it’s head was about to fall off into somebody’s lap.
Most of the anamatronics are super jank, the latex rotting, the joints in desperate need of oiling, and the speakers giving out from years of wear and tear. Not to mention the ones that aren't working it all. This place could be an AMAZINGLY fun dinosaur ride if the anamatronics were given the proper tlc, but is a fantastic horror ride as it is.
With how the video is recorded it looks like the dude is the only person in the entire building, like, no one working there, no one taking his money, etc. i mean i know there was someone there but the idea of being completely alone in a water ride that’s falling apart is the most terrifying thing
this video i saw years ago has stuck in my mind and scared me more than any horror film i’ve ever watched. how poorly maintained it is feels completely haunting. the looming threat of electrocution by faulty wiring, the speakers blasting those loud, tinny screams in the damp darkness, the old machinery creaking hundreds of pounds of dead weight around (some while partially submerged)… heavy prop creatures hanging on the ceiling by fragile old wires, massive reptilian heads bearing those awful cartoonish teeth and leaning directly above you… floating along surrounded by all of this cold stagnant water in pitch darkness. it’s fucking horrifying
Something about the fact that it seems really slapped together/ out run makes it more terrifying. The sheer amount of noise too. Great video, can't wait to see other spooky rides
This is an old location that I went to in Tennessee, I loved it so much and still have photos of 5 year old me standing amongst the fake “tourists” or “explores” outside. I love finding videos on it and it just amazes me how something I remember as a kid got this famous on a video! Good work man.
It's not bad enough that the speakers on the animatronics sound awful to the point of being terrifying, but on top of that, you also get the terror of the deafening sounds of the hydrolics & metallic creaking & grinding from all sides due to the appalling upkeep.
There's something of it's own charm with rundown old dark rides. Like the mystery of how something used to work, and weirdly makes jumpscares worse with the slow degraded reaction time. 😂
This place is amazing! Our 3 year old is constantly watching youre videos!! He has autism and meeting you meant alot to him! And the fact that you took time out to meet him and talk to him means the world to us! Keep up the great work
Earlier this year I slept a few hours alone in a pitch dark forest and swam in the open ocean in a place known for sharks, but this ride would terrify me way worse than any of that. This ride is evil.
something about the animatronics' dead eyes, showing parts, and how they barely move + the dark + the scary noises + the mannequins outside and seemingly no staff makes this ride so eerie omg.would definitely not go on that, the jurassic park boat ride in universal is so much more fun (and one of my favorite rides, can't wait for them to revamp it!)
Oh my goodness, when I was a little boy, I remember riding this, and I thought it was so cool. Everytime we when to pigeon forge or gatlinburg I made my parents stop by this and let me ride it. Thanks for the nostalgia, man!
Dang, I was just down there in Pigeon Forge, must've missed this. And thank god, cause this looks DANGEROUS how run-down it is. Kinda wanna ride it still, ngl :p
Update: I just went on the ride a few hours ago and holy FRIG I wasn’t expecting it to be that scary. It was dark and horrifically uncanny the whole way through, but I gotta say it was a unique experience. There sure isn’t another ride like this one in the world😄
Jesus Christ this is terrifying, I have a massive fear of the dark and Animatronics scare the high heaven out of me and seeing barely working robots just makes me want to hug the nearing human nearby me, I was yelling through the entire video because any noise coming from the ride just freaks me the heck out.

Yes! Totally! Animatronic dinosaurs, water rides, loud noises, and the dark. Plus, it takes forever to get through. Feels like it’ll never end.
SAME SAME SAME SAME!!!!
no cap, i rode this with my mom and dad when i was little and screamed and cried my eyeballs out the entire way through and have been scarred ever since. now finding out i have submechanophobia
I rode this with my parents also when I was like six 😭 But I was silent the whole time from sheer dread lol. I've honestly had a really hard time doing any dark rides since then.
I come from the submechanophobia subreddit, maybe thanks to your post 👀
Was I the only one who thought this was gonna be a Jurassic Park ride?
Frank Ceneviva me lol
Frank Ceneviva your not the only one, also me
me too, as well, also
No
Frank Ceneviva not the only one
( More rides could use that combo. )
Fifthrider lol in universal they have a scene where a t rex takes a tram car and the people are running for their lives
Yvette Ramirez in which universal!?
Cameron Grice the one in Hollywood on the tram during the king Kong fight
The Brachiosaurus was great!
9:40 The giant worm T-Rex with a broken jaw is the most nightmarish thing there
Imagine seeing 9:40 in a Jurassic film
insert fnaf joke here
Someone in the background: 😋🎒🍟
I went on that ride when it was pretty new. It scared me, but it was all in the dark and the lights would flash and dinosaurs would all move. At the end when the boat rose I seriously thought I was going to fall out of the boat! I wish they kept it up. It's a great classic ride.
Idk if this would’ve been even scarier when everything was working
I feel like its scarier with everything broken down, gives you eerie vibes. And the sounds the dinosaurs make are just 😖🤮😬
I liked the one arm roller skating T Rex! Very cool.
The triceratops is like "is this raptor having a seizure right before my eyes"
Thank you, I was curious because you can only see one boat in the video.
they all worked when i was a kid it was awesome then... scary but awesome
Rushelle alexandra Old timer lol
Wait, Its abandoned?!
Him: I recomend this boat ride
Dinosaur: ***missing parts or dont move anymore and voice boxes are corrupt***
This ride would give me top notch anxiety
5:28 I think a Skeksis from The Dark Crystal snuck into this attraction somehow.
Stash Merkin. I'd call it more of an ear rape pterodactyl.
Stash Merkin that thing scared me while I was on this ride.
Dr. Jasontheman Dark ride big robots in water bad auido and the rides looks like it's in terrible condition I am scared of my safety and feel unconfirmble
AHHHHHHHYAYAYAERRRRRRRAAAAYYAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
This is straight up terrifying bro The fact that the animatronics are very scary- And that nobody is there- And who knaows how deep that water is??! You are very brave to do this!! 😄
Cool, it looks like a lot of the animatronics needs some TLC though but that's fairly common they're complex things that need a lot of care and attention, and when they're not in a theme park with a dedicated maintenance department things happen
EnAimBoy The true Jurassic ride at universal has that and still went to crap.
I'd probably die if I ever went on that ride. It honestly looks terrifying due to how old the animatronics look and how dark it was.
Did you get on that ride by yourself? I wouldn't be able to do it.😰
Kat Nile I'd be afraid how old the ride is one of the dinosaurs would fall down on me
Same. I’d be afraid that it’d break down and I’m gonna be stuck in there LOL 😂😂
Same I'd be so nervous if I was stuck in there and it was pitch black with those creepy ass noises
That would be awesome....and then get accidentally locked in 😂😂😂
Damn, I made a mistake watching this right before bed. 😫
bbkangs me too mate, me too.
Same.. Who needs sleep anyways? 😟
Lel
Love your pfp man!
Very cool! You have some balls going on these terrifying rides alone. I know I couldn't
It felt like I was having a fever dream watching this.
LMAO the one at 8:56 sounded like someone eating chips
Rice krispies lmao
😭😂😂😂😂😭😭
You just out of no where here can you pass me the milk
I have NEVER been so uncomfortable watching a ride through 😳
this place is so creepy! it has to be haunted
i rode it 5 years ago and the lights were on a lot more
*'I don't want a slick overproduced Jurassic boat ride, I kind of like the way it is, lets keep it that way'* mate all the animatronics are broken, either with their pistons & actuators loudly grinding as they move, ceramic parts broken off, leather ripped to shreds, visible mechanical motors & steel joints, or they don't move at all anymore. I mean that trex at the end says it all.
It's missing an arm. 😂😂😂 I love tourist attractions.
They definatly do some work on this ride
One of the things that just adds to the pure insanity of this ride is that if you listen closely, occasionally you can hear music in the background, but rather than something epic & adventurous, it just sounds like some soothing new age tones.
It's most noticeable at. 4:54, 5:59, 6:43, & 7:54
What a strange town, it seems like a low budget Orlando and it looks deserted. The animatronic dinosaurs are a little lame, one of them looked like it’s head was about to fall off into somebody’s lap.
Susan strauss hahaha lmfao freaking lame 😂😂😂😂😂 cheap
It has always been a low budget Orlando.
Susan strauss At least Dollywood is really atmospheric and well themed. So Dollywood is like the Disney World of Tennessee.
I love your commentary throughout this haha
5:30 Imagine combining this with the distorted audio. That would be creepy.😱
My worst nightmares fully realized.
I would be really scared 1 cause the animatronics need fixing 2 I hate boat things like that how deep is the water?

One of my favorites ! I love that place
Have u ever hyjack a plan then crash it in to a tower to just to get that taste
not IDubbbztv Maybe you should eat a dictionary instead.
TheDailyWoo looks very under finished and boring
where is this
TheEmergencyPie pigeon forge tn
4:39 that my friend is a brokeasaurse from the drunken period
Those animatronics have seen better days
Something about the fact that it seems really slapped together/ out run makes it more terrifying. The sheer amount of noise too. Great video, can't wait to see other spooky rides
"We spared no expense" it shows XD
This is an old location that I went to in Tennessee, I loved it so much and still have photos of 5 year old me standing amongst the fake “tourists” or “explores” outside. I love finding videos on it and it just amazes me how something I remember as a kid got this famous on a video! Good work man.
I also may or may not have dropped a few sunglasses in the water up front XD-
I laughed out loud so hard with that thing carrying the kid away 😂😂😂
It's not bad enough that the speakers on the animatronics sound awful to the point of being terrifying, but on top of that, you also get the terror of the deafening sounds of the hydrolics & metallic creaking & grinding from all sides due to the appalling upkeep.
3:31 brb having flashbacks from Billy being carried away in JP3
There's something of it's own charm with rundown old dark rides. Like the mystery of how something used to work, and weirdly makes jumpscares worse with the slow degraded reaction time. 😂
5:38 scared the shit out of me that pterosaur is freaky
I know! I laughed from him being handless..and cried in fear of how huge he was and god awful sound!
This place is amazing! Our 3 year old is constantly watching youre videos!! He has autism and meeting you meant alot to him! And the fact that you took time out to meet him and talk to him means the world to us! Keep up the great work
5:27 I love the sounds of that huge pteranodon!
That thing’s size, is downright terrifying.
Earlier this year I slept a few hours alone in a pitch dark forest and swam in the open ocean in a place known for sharks, but this ride would terrify me way worse than any of that. This ride is evil.
5:23
Oh my god, when it got to this point.. Jesus, the sounds the pteranodon makes are horrifying
something about the animatronics' dead eyes, showing parts, and how they barely move + the dark + the scary noises + the mannequins outside and seemingly no staff makes this ride so eerie omg.would definitely not go on that, the jurassic park boat ride in universal is so much more fun (and one of my favorite rides, can't wait for them to revamp it!)
These Universal rides updates are getting way to real
Oh my goodness, when I was a little boy, I remember riding this, and I thought it was so cool. Everytime we when to pigeon forge or gatlinburg I made my parents stop by this and let me ride it. Thanks for the nostalgia, man!
Slow-motion dinos lol. Can't imagine what that costs to run and maintain.
Maintain? There is clearly no maintenance
I love this, wish I could go!
Hey man!
Here before this blows up i guess
Dang, I was just down there in Pigeon Forge, must've missed this. And thank god, cause this looks DANGEROUS how run-down it is.
Kinda wanna ride it still, ngl :p
I went there two idk if its still up
Update: I just went on the ride a few hours ago and holy FRIG I wasn’t expecting it to be that scary.
2:49 he looks like he gon sneeze
imagine this u are with ur friends and you guys stumble upon this abandoned ride. One of your friends offers to pay u $100 to go on the ride alone saying they will operate it. You decide that u want the money and say yes. Your adventure begins as u hop in the boat in the cold abyss. You get frightened but feel slightly comfortable that your friends are operating the ride, except then the boat stops moving. You start screaming in terror then all the lights shut out. It gets quiet nothing or no one to be seen. Then a few lights turn on only for you to see this 5:32 with the screeching old rustic animatronic. That’s the only animatronic on at the moment and it’s very strange. You understand that your friends left u and that u can’t get help or you will get in lots of trouble for trespassing. It’s been what feels like forever even though it’s only been 1 hour. You decide you have to swim out in the pitch black except there’s all these gears and metal controlling the animatronic that you can’t see... ok if u read this far thank you I just made this up because it kinda freaked me out.
I would cry so much 😭
