Because he'd already confessed to the police and given the police a pre-written statement. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that Miranda rights apply to things you voluntarily say to the cops unprompted and unquestioned. They don't. Miranda rights only apply to when police questioning, the answers to which they intend to use against you, starts. This is why in a lot of interrogations, when people just start babbling about the crimes they committed, interrogating detectives just shut up and let them talk before mirandizing them. Post Office was automating a lot of jobs and raising performance standards on the employees. Affirmative Action was placing incompetent people into supervision positions. The workload never ends and was starting to accelerate while management was using Toyota efficiency techniques in an industry that did not produce sellable products. Management Science was crashing, factories were outsourcing, and people no longer wanted to pay taxes so the Post Office was defunded. Those were the reasons people started to crack at the Post Office. Vietnam Vets were in the workforce and starting to have PTSD acting out issues. @@andrewmclaughlin2701 "Going postal" is an American English slang term that refers to becoming extremely angry or violent, especially in the workplace. The phrase originated in the 1980s and is thought to have come from a series of incidents in which postal workers in the United States committed acts of violence, such as shootings, at their workplaces. In 1991, a postal worker in Jacksonville, Florida, killed two supervisors and injured two other people before being arrested. In 2006, a postal worker in Santa Clara, California, killed six of his co-workers and injured others before committing suicide. In 2010, a postal worker in Birmingham, Alabama, killed two of his supervisors before being arrested. In 1986, a postal worker in Edmond, Oklahoma, killed 14 of his co-workers and injured six others before committing suicide. In 1991, a postal worker in Royal Oak, Michigan, killed five of his co-workers and injured four others before committing suicide. In 2010, a postal worker in Goleta, California, killed six people and injured others before committing suicide. These incidents and others like them, were the reason of phrase "going postal" becoming popular.

The old man could have spoken to his boss about the people who supposedly bullied him. If no action was taken, he could have just quit his job. If you decide to shoot up a bunch for revenge, you basically are throwing your own life away. People need to be careful whom they bully. @Lex Beltran I'm not trying to make an excuse for what he's doing. It is reported that he has complained about being bullied, but nothing has changed. Management Science was crashing, factories were outsourcing, and people no longer wanted to pay taxes so the Post Office was defunded. In 1991, a postal worker in Jacksonville, Florida, killed two supervisors and injured two other people before being arrested.
In 2006, a postal worker in Santa Clara, California, killed six of his co-workers and injured others before committing suicide.

Or do you actually think that "concrete face slam" is part of a felony detention? Do you need me to show you a video of one done correctly?
Hopefully if you ever have to turn yourself in for something the cops "drop" you.
It is so rare a cop can slam a body these days, anytime it is legal, it is performed.
Obviously walking away from the abuse wasn't an option?
For real.......Apparently he thought his work conditions along with the bullying were deplorable. Well.....San Quinton isn't much better.
Definitely a hate crime
He has no good years left and was getting bullied. Be happy he wasn't as smart as Stephen Pollock.
Someone want to explain to me what this Asian was bullied about by 5 other Asians and 2 Hispanics? Also, where are all the supposed White Previledge Racists that should have been targeted for there oppression of minorities?
Furthermore, how did this man legally acquire a gun in the state that has the stricted gun controls?
bullying happens in every other country. there are bad people everywhere
im black, oppression of minorities is such an exaggeration and total media spin in favor of those who enjoy playing victim. the people who are truly oppressed in this world are people who have to suffer with mental health conditions that make quality of life worse. Worst part about it is that normal people of every race equally don't care enough to recognize it since mental health issues are invisible and worst of all, don't have media backed by millions like media pushed race relations like the black community does.
@@JamesHeller-if5kg Well said! 🙂
@@mhm92267 glad im not the only one who gets it. 🙂
Why would media get to ask him anything? WTF!!!
The government is working the people. 😂
Media can do an interview if it's okay'dddd....
Because he ain't black they have to paint the pic that he is a good guy that just snapped
@@ALONZO1000 bro you need to stop with the black stuff it’s poor vs rich they are going to kill us all eventually doesn’t matter what skin color you have
Be thankful for that. He's now on record accepting his guilt. Lawyer have not yet had a chance to make him change his story.
The reporter that interviewed him has just ruined his chances of any Fair trial that he may or may not receive by interviewing him and then publicly disclosing everything they talked about..
Fair?? He shot these ppl…
I'm pretty sure he plans to plead guilty
Exactly you're very intelligent I thought I was the only one that noticed that. I can't believe he made a confession To a reporter so quickly. Did he make that confession in the presence of a lawyer.
A fair trial? He killed 7
co- workers. I'm sure he'll get a fair trail.
Fair trial is the law, he has to go to trial to be convicted regardless of substantial eveidnece or guilty plead, everyone has the right to be tride by their peers
So sad.
Everyone keeps treating people like shit and wonder why they flip out
I'm not saying that he was in the right for killing anyone, let along eight! Yeah, he is trying to blame it on a mental illness, which I don't think it is right for people who do crimes like this to be able to get away with on "mental illness" claim.. there are lots of people with mental illnesses who don't go out murdering others. But, I do believe the cops who were rather rough with him getting him out of the car to arrest him. It is not like he was running he was there to turn himself in.. seeing that would make anyone too scared to turn themselves in.. I'm just saying.. like I said, I'm not saying what he had done was right at all!
yet you're concerned they threw him to the ground? They don't know if he has a firearm on him or what his intentions are.... of course they're gonna rough him up a bit during his arrest
The whole situation is sad everyone has a different mindset theres no way to put yourself in peoples shoes impossible, there so many other ways then shooting and killing people it does worse then good. Be nice to everyone and take care of you’re mental health there is help and better coping skills instead of letting it pile up.
This is most likely a cover up. He most likely works for Communist China. When people that hate China and are from there it’s because they know . They wouldn’t ever do this. But they guy works for China…. Which is probably tied back to Democratic Party in bed with China . It’s all about taking away gun rights so China can slide on in. Even if this wasn’t all that it is tragic.
But Ukraine is tragic. Afghanistan is tragic . All
Across Africa is tragic.
South America is tragic . Mexico suicide rates are outrageous . It’s tragic . That’s why as a individual I’m
Cautious of my existence. 1&2 amendments it the greatest force against evil.
When the old Asian dudes are committing these shootings you know we have a serious problem
He must be super crazy!!!
He killed seven people!!!!!!!
Great job by Janelle Wang getting this interview.
Buying a gun with NO QUESTIONS by d SELLER is completely RIDICULOUS.
Bullying at work,is a real big problem. He is remorseful as his body language says, and he surrendered unlike other shooters. But his action caused so much tragic loss of innocent lives. Very sad.
who said they were innocent????

He went to BUY A GUN AND THEN BROUGHT IT TO WORK! That's literally premeditated MURDER! Ya ONLY feel sorry because he's an asian man. If this was a black woman she would have to be accountable for her actions. Save the immigrant tears. You can literally live in your own country. The entitlement is so disrespectful to the black people everyday that have to be subject to bullying and second class treatment in THEIR OWN COUNTRY by immigrants.
Asians gone wild!
How the heck is it exclusive if he’s already confessed?
