    We are a couple who once fell in love with mountains and couldn't get back. So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking, trekking and camping. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you'd like to.
    We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. Walking is an excellent activity that has so many benefits to your health and requires no special equipment or practice, so we encourage you to get the most out of it and get out walking.
    We speak English, Spanish, French and Russian, so don't hesitate to address to us in your native language.

    Gas canister. If camping below 0 C, then get canister with butane + propane mix. If going really extreme cold, then one need canister with higher % of propane. Till 0 C degrees, butate works fine. I have also seen people transferring gas and refilling used canister. Smaller canister cost more per grams, so people buy size of canister they camp with and keep buying bigger canister which can save costs significantly in long run. Goes without saying, refilling old gas canister can be done, but requires certain level of skill.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are some really useful tips! Thanks for sharing! We do usually buy a bigger canister but just for a simple reason that sometimes gas can't be found that easily on some trails. But it does make sense about saving in a long run.

    That statement is misleading; this is definitely not suitable for winter conditions. Please exercise caution and consider seeking advice from someone with experience. Using a sleeping bag (comfort) rated for only 0 degrees Celsius (never look to the extreme value!!!!) could be extremely dangerous in winter. Additionally, a thermal mattress with an R-value of 2 is meant for summer, not winter. If you're skeptical, I suggest a trial run: camp in your garden during a snowy night with temperatures around -2 degrees Celsius (in the mountains you will get -20 degrees fast, then you will fight for your life with the suggested setup). This way, you can test the equipment in a safe environment and see for yourself.

      @WalkingNatureWorld  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, fully support your tips on testing gear in the safe environment first, we always encourage people to do it as it is a great way to start. The sleeping pad mentioned in the video has an R-value of 3.3 and we recommended to use a foam mat underneath as a minimal setup.
      We do acknowledge that this particular set of gear may not suit everybody due to the different weather conditions. We were also aiming to find a decent gear with a relatively budget price and lightweight characteristics. So this gear list made it into these categories, also according to what the Decathlon store had to offer. This video is providing options and further research needs to be done in order to find the proper gear for given conditions. We are always ready to answer the questions the newbies may have too in regards to gear. We would be glad to help!

    I've given up on Decathalon since they have given up on the US market. Inventories are always out of stock on the US webpage and they will not sell to US from the UK pages. If you live in France or UK it is probably a decent budget store.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We have heard that they recently opened up some stores or reopened them in some States. A pity though that you can't even use the webpage. Hope they will sort it out soon.

    I wonder what you think of the MT100 backpack. Is this product good for its budget performance?

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, it is a nice solid option expecially for the beginners. We have used this range extensively when we first started. Let us know if you have any other specific questions about it.

      @@WalkingNatureWorld can't quite decide between the MT-500 and the MT-100. Both models have their advantages. I'm planning to go on 4-5 day camping trips, and I need an ergonomic, functional, and durable product. Although my tours are usually along the coast, I might do some trekking as well. Price and performance are important. I like the MT-100's easy fit and easy access to materials, but I'm not sure about its material quality. I like the MT-500's ventilation, high-quality fabric, and comfort. Additionally, it has a full aluminum frame, whereas the aluminum rods in the MT-100 don't seem as good in comparison. I'm interested in the 70L models of both.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@emin-altan Well, it seems like a hard choice then if you find you like the features of both🤔 We personally only used Forclaz Trek 100 in 70L version and find that while it may not be the most comfortable it is a pretty solid option, in terms of materials it helds up just fine to wear and tear for a long while. But if a comfort is a concern we would look towards MT500, if you find it is more fitting to you as in the long run it becomes one of the most important things. Hope it helps you in some way and you make the best decision for you. Let us know what you end up getting.☺

    В каком-то видео на ютубе, я услышал, что у кого-то куртка и декатлона. И я все это время думал, что декатлон - это материал из которого она пошита )))) А теперь вот оно что ))) Жаль у нас нет такого магазина.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      😅 Да, это очень забавно получилось:))) Была бы наверное очень качественная куртка если бы она существовала) Мы также не знали раньше о таком магазине а здесь это очень популярный спортивный коммерческий центр можно сказать. Жаль, что у вас нет подобного в доступе. Очень удобно иметь возможность померять вещи и увидеть-попробовать все оборудование до покупки.

    My idea of budget is definitely different to you. Jetboil is not a budget item! Neither is the tent or the bag or the pad. Where budget is concerned - oex, naturehike and army surplus, snugpaks offer REAL budget value for money and outperform this overpriced decathlon gear imo.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Our idea was to go to one store and find all the essential items needed for winter hiking trips and that is what we did. Some items just weren't that cheap. But we can't say it is overpriced neither, they do provide a good quality and cuatomer support. And it's nice that you can find most stuff in one place. Thanks for the ideas on other gear to look into.

    We build it up and it broke. Shame is Decathlon claims to support spare parts for 10 years after buying. And i can't get this simple thing. Most problems has to do with this poles and they have no parts in stock? Decathlon is ceap, but if you have to trust into your gear then buy elsewhere.

    • @WalkingNatureWorld

    Prices are on the level of North Face, which is too high

    • @WalkingNatureWorld
      @WalkingNatureWorld  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We haven't tested any North Face gear yet and North Face store is much harder to find here. What we like a lot about Decathlon stuff is that it is so widely available and you can find the store easily to have a look in person which is super important. Also the selection of gear is great.

      Yes and the NF is a premium Brand that takes enviroment into consideration!!Decathlon on the other hand is just a generic brand so the prices should be reflected!! it's a shame because it is good beginer kit but not at a Premium price!!
