The main message, I believe, is that Singaporean graduates think that with a degree, they are better than people who are uneducated, of a different colour. Cleverly uses the theme of cash as a motif to highlight other messages that director wants to convey, such as money-oriented mindsets and self-entitlement.

judges people with their appearance and their caste. She never mix and speak politely with people .she gets skeptic with their looks and caste. She is in a constant humuliation that she has to work in a outfashioned store. She has become so selfcentered that she is missing the human aspect of life.though it's not necessary to speak politely but if you do you can get the same from them. actually there are good people u just have to mix with them, speak , behave well with them and trust them.
this addresses the growing prejudice within Singapore between locals and the new immigrants...language barrier included..we grew from 2 million to 5 million in such a short time.

A bill is paper. Money Paper is still paper. Doesn’t matter what is written on it. A bill is value because people were taught it can be use as currency. But paper money has so many cons and pros.

I feel that her doings were logical.
To be frantic under such situations is a sign of responsibility.
People tend to compare her certificate with the job she is assign to in this video, and claim that it is a disgrace as she have no idea how to identify whether the money is real.
If one were to fall under such situation, they would be frantic, as the company is being faced at a risk of losing 1000 dollar for a mistake being made by you, yourself.
Thus, it is understandable and I believe most would do the same.
We are not talking about 10 bucks, we are talking about 1000 here, and if that does not seem big to you, then you probably didn’t try hard enough to understand the actress situation.
Disappointment is a thing, so as self doubt.
Also, some people argued that that is the reason why she did not get accepted in the bank, however, I disagree as such an example itself is not suffice to state that conclusions.
Banks have a different way of handling, and a bank does not run under just one person, there is more of a teamwork and much clearer clarification being done.
Moreover, banks uses technology accompanied with huge manpower.
I can go on with this argument, however, i feel that those who agree would agree, vice versa.

it shows a few things. nus graduate overvalued their degree and also when someone who is graduate and do lowly paid jobs, no face ☺ to face ex classmates who earn more money and are better in better jobs than ourselves and also suspicion of other people 's good intentions like all people are bad. look down on bangadash worker who break your things and can't pay. see people as fake Like the fake 1000 dollars and lastly poor customer service typical of Singaporean shops.

She didn't "think she was better than anyone else" - one hopes that college will get you a good job where you can exercise your skills but, in today's environment, it's tough to get a job with even the highest of degrees because companies want to save money by hiring and promoting those who are more "uneducated" because they can be trained like puppets and command less money. People go university with high hopes, work EXTREMELY hard, and then end up working in a convenience store. Sad.
