I used standard blue painters tape, but frog tape is better at not peeling off the existing tape (just didn't have any at the time). With the blue tape, I only lightly press on the edge of the tape near the paint side, then I sneak a piece of paper between the rest of the tape and the side of the aircraft I don't want any accidental spray or bleed. Regardless the tape you use, just don't press it hard on the model, and when removing the tape, don't pull it off like a band-aid, work it slowly and no paint should pull off
Did you purchase a seperate receiver? and a battery? The model doesn't come with those as it is PNP (plug and play) and not RTF (ready to fly). PNP assumes you have a transmitter already and a receiver and battery
I've been steering guys at the club towards this plane, they buy the red tail volantix rtf and some were saying how they missed the parkzone p51 I say you know for 100 bucks you can get the flightline one and it will fly better
No primer. Rustoleum 2x is my go to spray and never had a problem. I always stay about 1 to 1.5 foot back because maybe the propellant could eat the foam, but I have done so many like that and never had an issue
Lost my local air field to development, so I'm looking for belly-landers. This bird is close to the Parkzone "Gunfighter", of which I had several. No parts available is a big turn off. Also not reading good things about the electronics, so I will probably add my own. Rudder isn't necessary, but easy to modify.
Not sure what you mean about the electronics. She rips on her stock setup but based on it's price and flying characteristics it is a popular model so parts move in and out fast but will always be restocked. Just right now shipping is crazy with Covid and the Holidays. More parts are always on the way
Question about the motor. Mine is set up to brake when throttle is at zero and I would like to get rid of that. I’m guessing it is set that way for prop strikes? Does anyone know if this is possible?
Same one in the video. The only way spray paint will eat foam is if you hold it very, very close (which you wouldn't do). The accelerant could get it that way, but not normal 12-18 inches away spraying
there is already a slot cut into the tray for a rudder servo and a tube built into the foam for the control rod. Just need a servo, rod, horn and exacto knife and you have a rudder.
Seen that in the follow up grate idea per adding it to the frame like that wish it came with the corresponding parts in the box and I still hope you make a kit/ how to video like your other installation videos! There a grate help to the community! Thanks for the response and I really do hope to see a Global Hawk EDF...
This series looks great! Any clues or list of what other birds will be made?
I wonder what new models there will be in s few weeks😁
Just wondering what tape did you use to mask off the area to paint yellow? Came out nice!

Get a small camera in the canopy :)
Love mine bought 2 of em
they are a bunch of fun!
Beginner. How do I "turn on the receiver or motor controller switch"?

Does Rustoleum eat some of these foamies? Do you use some type of primer as well?

When I see parts in your inventory I will reconsider this purchase.
I have questions about the wiring set up. Can you help me?

P-47 or Spitfire pls.
I just got mine. Just wondering what kind of spray paint should i get. Have to look around local shops first before i look around online.
Rustoleum 2x is my go-to for foamies
@@MotionRC Like the one in this video? I got miss inform by people saying it will eat the foam.

@@MotionRC Thanks for clearing the doubt. Happy flying!
James, I just ordered this plane. What size pilot would you say that would fit in that cockpit? Thanks!
So you added the Gyro to it?
Excuse me but I didn't catch where the CG balance point is
What is the actual name or code of green used on them?
Star bar goes on the other side of bottom wing. Instruction pic is incorrect!!!
Please have a P-47 Thunderbolt in the planning stage and Kawasaki hein
I bought mine around Jan 2019, and this whole time I thought it was 3s only.
Oh man, thats like finding a $20 bill in an old pair of pants!
@@MotionRC well I guess I’ll be using 4s now. Not that 3s was bad, but 4s should make it a lot livelier.
Rudder and flap mods pleas 😉😉 for those whom might not already have the skill set to open cut, hinge and servo pocket/placement already... 😁

I will definitely do this.
Excellent I for one can wait you guys are killing it ! ! !
Just take my money, is a Bearcat in the works???????
Love the Mustang but the decals are so old school they should have used regular decals but anyways motion RC rocks
This size need plug in landing gear and would have bought one if it had
If u guys have a zero ill buy one

Why do you call this a build it's an assembly... a build is something you spend six months to a year on
The name became synonymous in RC. Build fits the thumbnail better than assembly.
