That mad bomber/Lightning bolt dilemma: He did not have 58 % chance to win. Those 58 % also counted 2 hits to his own face and afterwards one to his opponents face, which would have resulted in a loss. the chance of that is 1/4^3 = 1,5 %. So the chance of him winning with mad bomber is 56,25 %. Still the best solution
your calculations on the mad bomber weren't 100% precise. you went with constant probabilities, but technically you needed to use conditional probabilities. especially in case the first MB barrel hit the murloc the table of probabilities would have shifted since there would be only 3 targets left for the next two barrels, so about 62% is a bit closer to the real probability of success. being even more precise some unlikely events would have to be taken into account. for example the MB could have hit you twice and him once, but i discounted that in the calculation of my figure.
