Thanks for this vid. I would definitely like a vid on how to manually build packages as I’m new to Arch so I’ll look forward to that in the future. Thanks!
I have been trying Pikaur for a few days now. I like the output how it separates the repos and that is neat. I don't use but one program from the Aur nowadays because they have all moved to the community repos... Lol Thanks for the video! LLAP 🖖
Bugswriter made a video about 'foot'-terminal and I thought you might be interested. Shows pictures, has search, emoji support, url hints and wayland support out of the box. Cpu accerelated and written in C.
Please make a qemu command scripting/syntax tutorial and explain to me if arch makes sense as a “0th” level os when running virtual machines or docker containers is better supported by enterprise supported os?
I use paru and pikaur i use pikaur for package that take long time to build if i use yay and leave him for a long time when i come back he says timeout because i was to long not prompting my password
I only mean this to inform and correct you, not upset or angry, paru's current developer (who might not be the same as the original writer, but I have to say since it is a good chance.) uses they/them pronouns, not he/him.

I'm new to arch (and linux im general). Do i need to install bat in order to have syntax highliting? Do i need to have neovim in order to view packages?
Paru is fast af, works for me and i don't actually have to compile it
Yeah, installing it from paru-bin instead of paru saves a little time
There is yay-bin that you don't have to compile as well

I’m going to make my own solution for this, I had no idea this stuff existed😅

What WM are you using? And where can I find the dots for it? I love it! I want to take a look at the Polybar specifically!
Bspwm, you can find the dotfiles in the description!
What colorscheme is that in your terminal? Looks great

True, all of my favorite AUR packages are now in the community repos!
Another helpful video. Thanks brother.
I used paru for installing and topgrade for updating.Topgrade works in other distros as well.
That seems like an interesting tool, I've never heard of that before. I might have to check that out.

I don't use wayland, but I might try it out in the future. I've been meaning to for a while.
I know and I'm on the same boat. Xorg has its advantages still for long!
@@vicmac3513 foot is very minimal, it feels just as fast as ST.
Nice Video.
Octopi is another great graphic Package helper too. Have you know it?

I installed yay from rebornos repository. It does let me read package builds ig by default.
Thanks )
paru not updated form 6mo,
i go back to yay
Still seems to be being maintained. Last commit was 3 weeks ago on github
For sure, are we rating software by how buggy it is and how often it needs updating?@@EricMurphyxyz
Isn't paru flagged out of date?

That should be fine, I haven't tried it personally but I don't think using multiple AUR helpers would cause any issues

I vastly prefer paru in my case
Oh my bad, I didn't know, thanks for the heads up

no and no for short, and kudos to you man for choosing arch for your first linux experience
@@defhanayasofhiea ah well. My install is bricked. I can't update anything because it's missing keys, and all my attempts to import them have failed.
