I initially bought this figure to complete the build an artifice and presumed it would be my least favourite of the range. But. It’s grown on me and now it’s a figure I enjoy seeing on the shelf
I was intending to dodge all the Indiana variant figures to save the cash in anticipation of all the possible figures that would be releasing. If Hasbro were bold enough to release Kazim then surely a Captain Blumburtt and Pat Roach 3 pack etc would be in the pipeline. Now with the uncertainty beyond wave 3 I've done a 180 on the Indy variants and began scooping them up to pad out the collection. They do not disappoint😀
I’m glad you’re pleased with all the variants, I think Map Room Indy is my favourite….but they’re all really good! We’ll have to see what the future holds with this series, but I’m not holding my breath
God I hope this line continues. If Mola Ram is a no go at retail I'd hope they could at least do a PulseCon exclusive with Temple Willie. If we were to get two more waves I'd really want to see... Man, I really like this Indy fig! Picked him up a few days ago and couldn't help but remember the scene this is based off used to scare the sh*t outta me lol. That factor alone, I had to get him 👍
Initially I was going to pass on this figure, but as I've decided to go all in and build the artifacts as well, this figure ended up being essential. I must say he looks way better than the promo shots, so I'm really looking forward to him. Plus he has some great accessories BAA parts aside.
ToD is my favorite Indy movie and I really wanted this wave especially with the build an Artifact being the giant skull for the Sankara stones. But I hated that instead of Willie and Mola Ram we got old Indy and Helena from DoD...which probably wasn't going to get its own wave so they did this instead and it drove me to NOT buy them. I'm glad people are really enjoying them but the more I see the single jointed knees, elbows, and the hang over sculpt at joints really turns me off. More for those that do I guess. It is a really great sculpt of Ford though. Great review and I was surprised to see both versions of the stones included, that's pretty cool.
My main issue with hypno Indy is that it would have been a much more interesting figure to me if they had actually done Mola Ram, Willie, or even some Thuggee warriors. On it's own as a standalone figure, it's not really all that interesting. He's only seen like this in the movie for a pretty short amount of time and the only other current AS figure you can really have him interact with is Short Round. It's something I only really would want as a scene re-enactment diorama builder. If they had released this version of Indy back in 2008 for the 3 3/4 line, I would have snatched it right up because it would have went great with the other ToD figures from that line. As it is, The Adventure Series has so little of ToD represented in it that if I had to pick only 3 ToD characters to be in a wave, there are a dozen others I would have rather had before this one.

@@GeekFigureFan I just ordered it too. It wouldn't have been my first choice for the wave but it's a decent enough figure and I want to complete the Sankara skull thing.

Great vid. I appreciate he blood chalace and the shankara stones, without those, I wouldnt want this figure. Are they confirmed to not make mola ram?
