    In Planet Zoo you are the Zoo Manager. Create underwater Viewing Galleries, develop intricate Chimpanzee climbing frames or house a majestic Bengal Tiger. You also need to make sure your animals stay healthy, have a comfy shelter and are not too annoyed by your guests. Speaking of which, you will need restaurants and other facilities to keep them happy too.
    If you succeed, you will be granted access to the most impressive animals of this planet, such as the Giant Panda, a fluffly small red panda, the scary Komodo dragon or the bulky Hippo.
    You can also build several habitats, Domes, safari rides or walk-in habitats that provide the best view onto your animals.

    There's nothing scarier than an empty canvas, anyone who's ever tried to do any art can probably attest to that. I have that same phobia in Planet Zoo (and similar games), giant empty space and just looking at it immediately demotivates me. But Rudi's tutorials are a great showcase of how you can achieve so much without spending an exorbitant amount of time on it. And that's not to diminish some of the crazy brick-by-brick builds creators have come up with in this game, moreso, the methods Rudi is showing are a great compromise for more casual players who still want their zoos to look nice. And most importantly, his methods can quickly combat the empty canvas fear and motivate you to go on, add more detail and so on.
    Danke Rudi (:

    I would probably (in terms of realism) mainly use plants that are common in the region where the zoo is located (not because the game tells me that the animal doesn't like a certain plant😄🙈).

      Definitely makes more sense and also it would be weird to have a zoo in northern europe and all of the sudden you have tropical plants in an area XD

    • @SineN0mine3
      @SineN0mine3 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@PachaKamak I think that would be fairly typical for a zoo. The animals from tropical climates would prefer it for sure, and if you already have to have heating/cooling and humidity controls for the animal's benefit you might as well grow the plants that suit that climate too.
      Of course most animals are comfortable in environments that don't totally replicate nature so Zoos have to balance that against the cost. Often in colder climates, tropical animals would be housed indoors while in hot countries, large indoor habitats would be made to keep animals from cold climates happy.

      @@SineN0mine3 i can tell you an animal doesnt cares in the slightest if they climb on an oak or a palm tree, as long as its a tree. Dont try to think that animals see the world like you do, they dont make that huge of a difference when it comes to plants, apart from maybe Koalas. Next time you go to a zoo, try to see how many real african plants you can see in the outdoor africa section and how many are regional plants that grow there naturally.
      Animals dont prefer specific plants because they are from their country, thats simply not a thing in real life.
      In indoor areas of course you would most likely use tropical plants but thats only because of theming and nothing else

    Foliage is always my favorite part of creating a new enclosure and - in my eyes - has the greatest effect on appearance. Thanks for your great new series! I wouldn't call myself a newbie anymore, but I still learn something new from you or get great fresh ideas!
