    I once played a Rom hack for Ninja Gaiden that turned Ryu into Deadpool... That was awesome. Another one I played that was pretty good was one for Goldeneye 64 called Rickrolleye 64 basically turns the entire game into a meme haha.

      The3Dude hey man, thank you so much for stopping by, I really respect your work. You are probably the most prolific rom hacker when it comes to the Legend of Zelda. You are the man.

      @@DenverGamer Thank you, I'm glad to see people enjoying my work. I do have an advantage though. Since I'm in highschool still, I have more time than other hackers. But, I always try to outdo my last hack. So "Perils of Darkness" will be amazing! Thank you for including my hacks on your list.

    Good to see Denver Gamer posting new content! Welcome back!
    Hey did you know Nintendo released a remake of the original LoZ on Super Famicom? You play as Zelda (like the hack you mention in the video) but all the graphics got a 16-bit makeover. I haven't played it through yet, but it's on my list.
    Awesome vid! Can't wait to try Legend of Iowa. Lol

      Perfect for a second video! Especially if I can find a translation

    • @JoKoKilla
      @JoKoKilla 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did a little more research, and what I have is called the "BS" (broadcast satellite) version of Zelda. It's very interesting. BS Zelda was a 16-bit remake of the original NES Legend of Zelda. BS Zelda was only available in 1995 in Japan via a satellite system that connected to the Super Famicom. The game was broadcasted on Sundays from around 6 to 7pm, along with a TV show which gave info on the game and other Nintendo related things. Unfortunately, players were only given a set number of hours to play, over the course of four weeks (which is why the game stops after 57 minutes). Because this game was used to launch the BS-X system, Link (the original lead character) has been replaced by the mascots for the BS system (that is, unless you use a patch to play as him or Zelda). The game was broadcasted twice, Map 1 (also known as "Third Quest") and Map 2 (known as "Fourth Quest"). Maps 1 & 2 can be compared with LoZ "Second Quest," on the Nes, which has different dungeons and overworld but same gameplay after the first quest was completed. Isn't that interesting? I never heard of a satellite service for the Super Famicom. Apparently I have a patched version of the Third and Fourth Quest roms, which are not only translated, but the timer is disabled. I don't know where I got these roms, must have been in a pack during my Wii mod searches. I don't know how easy they are to find, but I'm happy to send them to you if you'd like.

      I commend YOU Denver Gamer! This is all thanks to you bro! No joke. Because of your instructional vids, I learned how to mod my Wii, which at some point propelled me to find the rom pack that contained the 3rd & 4th translated BS Zelda quests. I've been sitting on these roms for a few months (as I now have thousands of other great games to explore), but because of this Zelda hack video, I felt inspired to try the 3rd quest and look into its origins. How cool would it have been to experience that satellite feature on the SNES? Perhaps BS-X was the true precursor to online gaming? Anyway, this has all been a domino effect which has come full circle, so props to you! This is the fruit of your labor! lol. I love my modded Wii. BTW, I beat the 3rd quest this evening which took about 2.5hrs. The overworld and dungeons are smaller. To be fair, it's less of a remake, and more like a condensed 16bit port of the NES classic. It's actually smaller than the Gameboy Zelda games (as I remember them). Easy, but fun.
      I don't do too much Twitter anymore, but I'll hit you up on IG. Cheers brother!

      I think so for most, but sometimes different ones simply won't work depending on the emulator. You should probably try FCEUGX first, then some others like Nestopia (RetroArch Wii), QuickNES (RetroArch Wii), and maybe even WiiMednafen (based on FCE Ultra core).
