    Beautifully edited! Very inspiring to see--my husband and I met in Puna, and we're planning on going back to Hawaii in the next few years and start our very own fruit farm as well. Learning a lot in the meanwhile by watching your videos.

    We found your channel 5 months ago and used the info you provided to get aquanted with what moving to Hawaii might entail.
    We now live in hawaiian acres. It worked. The information gleaned from your channel was priceless and we can not thank you enough for your awesome, funny and informative videos..
    Thank you so much for taking the time to do all of this.

    Great Inspiring Videos. We are building a cabin/storage unit on our property getting it ready for the main house built. Thank you for helping us making the move. Your videos kinda help us made up our minds. We've planted several Ulus and other plants, but far from completion. Looking forward to enjoying the outdoors like you guys do.

    We feel you man. Some days, it's difficult to be motivated but you have to take breaks sometimes. There's always work to be done but it's always cool when you realize you're actually making good progress and living your dream.

    Damn, hope Paulina gets a day off soon. I know the feeling, been working 6+ days a week going on 4 years now. Leaves you feeling a bit like a zombie. Only 5 months until I finally move to Puna to start farming....I’ve never been so excited to be unemployed haha.

    • @OffGridHawaii
      @OffGridHawaii  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! It was a Koa tree that I planted. Yea the taro just multiplies like crazy. One plant will produce like ten oha.

    Sweet Aloha to you bothJust a quick Mahalo for all the really great info you have shared in your vids. I do not look at a small banana tree the same anymore. Now I know by looking at the leaves what it is asking for. And those kikis! Will be doing my first removal and replant soon, so excited.Hope all is well, no new vids in a while? Paulina OK??

    I haven’t called off sick for work in over 4 years now. I am not bragging, just stating a fact. Another fact is I get every weekend off and only work about 8 hours a day. I would probably call in sick if I had to work that much Paulina. Maybe a huge bonus is in order🧐

    • @OffGridHawaii

    Aloha Thank you for sharing so much useful information in every video. I especially enjoy hearing the sounds of nature in the background. Concerns for Paulina. At least when you are working on the farm, you can take some rest breaks. Probably not a good idea at ZipLine. Grab some downtime, you will feel better for it. just sayin. When you all went to visit Eddy - his words about the land and his connection to it made my heart sing - did he have to clear the "soil" from the lava to expose the wonderful formations or were some visable? Oh and Thanks for the 411 about your gate. Hele on.

    • @OffGridHawaii
      @OffGridHawaii  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you noticed the nature sounds, they were definitely my inspiration for this video. Yeah there will be some lava showing but he did clear a layer of soil/roots/vegetation to expose the beautiful lava.

    Awesome video. I just uncovered 12 huge 60 foot tall lychee trees from being swallowed by jungle on my property and they aren’t producing. One tree produced a handful and that’s it. What could I do to them to get them to produce to their full potential? I was thinking of cutting them down much shorter cuz I know I won’t be able to reach much of the fruits but not sure if that will kill them. Mahalo for any advice

    • @OffGridHawaii
      @OffGridHawaii  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Yes you’re right. I know it sounds extreme but cutting them back so the are about 6-8 tall is probably what needs to be done. It will take a couple years for them to bounce back but it’s really all you can do at this point.
