Changing the settings should still affect chrome, you mainly need to wait for chrome to recrawl the page if it was a recent change and sadly sometimes Google modifies the meta it displays based on the keywords a user is looking for.

Ensure you or your hosting provider do not have caching active and if you do have caching active, clear your cache to add the new meta tag for Google to see.

If you mean on a service like Google or something similar then you would want to ensure any caching from your plugins or hosting provider has been cleared for the most common reason and solution.

You should be able to edit the URL using the default edit option in the post's settings and not need AIOSEO to change that
