This is what I needed... the disconnected clusters of dots, diagrams and letters was a major hurdle for learning music theory for me. I never wanted to learn many different approaches (like CAGED, sheetmusic or tabs) for the fear that I would miss out on something important, but I never had the time/insight to construct my own paradigm for understanding guitar music theory. Until the algorithm blessed me with Mike George :D

Love the clarity your graphics give to understanding what you are teaching. I’m almost 63 and keen to learn the stuff I should have decades ago, though it’s never too late to learn and improve. I appreciate the work you’ve put in to make these lessons stand out from the norm. (If TH-cam was around when I was young, with explanations as good as this, I might have kept at it, and not given up. Anyway it gives me an interest to explore in my senior years so it’s all good!)

Mate I have played the guitar for 36 years and I actually can play some very beautiful master pieces that only ear and feel have I grappled.
I learnt the piano writing the chords on keys.
You have just given me the missing piece of the puzzle that music theory doesn't proply help me understand.
    Thank you sooooooo much.
Honestly my claim to fame is will most certainly give your name a shout out.
The whole life is a journey just came into perspective again finding your video.
Thank you for helping my brain see clearer :)

that is so true about not being able to see music; when I started to learn, you-tube was not around, so I learned from books, sometimes I would work out the notes on a progression thinking that I am learning something new, and suprisingly find that it is something I am used to hearing,

First time I see music theory as something I want to learn. I love languages, I'm a translator so I don't shy away from difficult systems like a language, but music, although I always wanted to properly learn it, I never fun somethijg that I felt was logical and not overwhelming...Until now
I saw your diagrams from this video, you weren't teaching me anything yet and I already was able to understand the relation between the notes and chords and that was for me something mind blowing.
So thank you, I will buy the course and I am excited to finally find a course that I feel is logical, clear and promises me to let me gain the ability to write songs which, as you say, is something I have always wanted to do but never felt like I could do it. I don't seek to create something complex, just something I felt was done with clear understanding of my beloved guitar.

hearing is the point, since that what music is. you have to internalise sound with your ears, in the end.

Hey. I just wanted to check in with you and see if there's any update on the ETA of your mode wheel?
You may have already passed that along, but I may have missed it 😁.
Can you let me know when you're releasing it?
    Thank you 😊.

I think the correct pronounce of theory in greek is actually "theowreea" instead of "taeoohrea", there is an accent in í, which means the letter i is getting more emphasis in the word, but thats just nitpicking, great video

Can you remake these colors using more starkly different colors so that a color blind person can more easily differentiate and see the patterns? Like, brighter blues, oranges etc. for color blind people a muted blue can be difficult to differentiate between blue and purple. Green from red etc. 🙏🏻
