I have to rebuild one of these (using your gasket kit) on a '56 Buick this week. As a complete amateur in the world of carburetors, this will be invaluable. Thank you

Thanks for the video! I'm helping a friend with his and we took apart and cleaned it today. On his carb, one of the 4 screws holding the throttle body to the bowl assy cannot be accessed because there is a large brass screw at an angle passing thru the bore above the screw (with carb upside down). This screw comes in from the driver's side of the carb. Perhaps this is a later carb than the one in your video? Another detail we nearly missed is that in the cast iron throttle body, there are angled holes (apx 3/32") bored above each of the primary and secondary butterflies, with these holes entering a chamber at each side of the underside of the throttle body. We found both holes on one side of the carb plugged with what appeared to be hardened sealant, and cleaned those out with a drill bit. Now that I think of it, I think the chambers on each side of the throttle body are joined by the large brass screw as it is turned CCW. Maybe this screw is adjusted to correct for pressure imbalances between the primaries and between the secondaries?

THANK YOU!!! i just finished my WCFB on my 53 Packard yesterday and it works great, a huge improvement!!! This is the first carb rebuild I've done and your video was super helpful.
QUESTION: The "pump countershaft" appears to have two places for oil, but I have not been able to find anything that talks about lubrication. What say you? What about linkages, do you lubricate them at all, or leave them alone?

Best to not lubricate anything on a carburetor.

This has the potential to be a very helpful video, unfortunately the view is blocked so that can't see what is happening, and/or the camera is too far away. For extremely detailed work like this a camera set up something like doctors use for operations could be very useful.

Sure, but I think Mike probably assumes someone watching a video on a 2041 likely has a 2041, and has looked inside it. I am rebuilding one now, and although I can't see exactly what he is doing (check ball on Accel Pump well for example) I know exactly what he is doing, because I am hands on looking at the exact same part. Thanks Mike for the video this helped me a lot.

Do you sell the small brass screws for various throttle bodies - butterfly valves? I need good ones for a AFB.

Do you rebuild these for customers?

Nice video but you might want to show people what you are doing and shoot videos from the top as one cannot see what you are doing.

Well, thanks for trying. You know how to rebuild a carb but you know nothing about making an instructional video. Lighting. Focus. Close-ups. Of every little step in the process. Without your meat-hooks blocking the view. You need someone to work the camera. If we knew how to do this then why would we be watching a video about how to do it? But don't feel bad because none of these other garage guys have a clue about making a video either.

I don't feel bad at all. I get many positive responses about my videos. I'm in the business of doing helpful videos, not becoming a video expert.
