TEO 2 BOWL OPENS FOR THE THRID TIME IN HISTORY | Crested Butte Mountain Resort

  • Last Friday the Crested Butte Mountain Resort Opened Teo 2 bowl for the third time in history. The last time the terrain, which is located on the backside of the mountain beyond main Teocali Bowl opened was back in 2016 so this was my first time skiing back there. It's nice to have a little terrain expansion at a mountain that already has it all! A 30 minute hike out to Shep's Chute is required after skiing this terrain.
A controversial master plan calls for 2 new lifts in the drainage beyond the bowl, but is not necessary as the hike currently allows the terrain to be less tracked. Time will tell what Crested Butte decides to do back there or if they will leave the terrain back there as is, remote and wild!

3 Teo2 laps (including one high lift hike up), Banana High, then Sunset? Your stamina is insane. I did one Teo2 run down the center trees, hiked out, and headed for the car with jello legs. Should have gone skiers right for my ability level. Land of Many Names looks amazing. Awesome footage!

Love watching all your CB Extreme runs! I'll never ski those so very fun to see the views and what it's like to go down those steeps. Also liked the ones you did with your girlfriend on slopes that I will do. Keep em coming!

Well, that was fun!🙄 I never knew what skiing the rocks & trees meant until I started watching you 😂… really enjoy your Summit County skiing! Lived a number of years in Breckinridge on Peak Seven. Nice videos & appreciate the commentary of naming where you are, etc. 👍

I was just at crested butte and I took a wrong turn on to high life. I had to side step down a 50 foot cliff and I almost slipped a couple times. But besides that my trip was great, filled with fun, steeps, and crazy wipeouts!

Great video. I know the GoPro never does the steepness any justice. Can you compare this to any other run at the resort??

Anymore Utah footage? I wanted to see you in Alta and the Bird. Seemed like a perfect fit: Coloradocamera and little cottonwood.

@colorado Camera, did they close all the steeps after this was shot? The lift and terrain status page shows everything off the north face and high lifts as closed?
