Rich is all class and God do we need it in sports talk. He could have spent half an hour trashing the giants, but instead gave the seahwaks enough praise, was critical and then turned attention to Caleb. Cheers.
Highly polished, frequently ill-informed hot takes...
Better as a host than with hot takes.
Caleb is gonna have to demand the bears trade him.
Meh. Go get your dime.
No need to for him to trash the Giants. Wouldn't be saying anything we all haven't already said about them.
Rich can tell you a sports story like no one else.
Rich's delivery style giving this Hawks fan a 15 minute chuckle.
I would love to hear him in the broadcast booth.

The Dolphins are playing pissed coming off a loss, pray for the Giants.
@@Dobbs65first 3 weeks hawks defense was bad, look at last night any D-Line is gonna look great vs the giants O-LINE
Then it's on to Buffalo the week after. Could be 1-5 along with the Jets after they lose to Broncos and Eagles. Could be rough in NY this fall.
80 pts help us
Pete Carroll is consistently one of the most underrated coaches in the NFL. That Seattle team has all kind of injury problems, but you sure as hell wouldn't know it the way they played.
ESPN didn’t even put carrol on top ten coaches poll. That’s how much hate he gets from the league.: he’s the west coast style guy and the league is eastern and southern based
@@rampageblackston4926 For real. Rich is one of the only analysts/personalities that actually talks about teams like the Seahawks/Rams
Agreed. I watched a lot of Pete's USC teams. He was great then. Even when he was with the Jets, he did well given how bad the organization has been and will always be.
“The actor???” All time sneaky joke there. What a line. Fantastic
That was "Heavy"...
@@charlie-obrien There’s that word again..heavy. Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull?
Daniel Jones= Officer Doofy from scary movie. Let the memes begin.
I have no idea what kind of QB Jones is, because I never saw him without D player up his az within one second of any snap.
Yes, thank you. What is a QB whose line gives him no time and whose receivers cannot get open even in the rare instance that he has some time to do? Thank goodness he has mobility or the situation would be a lot worse. I am pulling for Jones.
Exactly. We've seen Mahomes struggle if the D Line gets in his face within half a second, and he's one of the best in the business. Jones is nowhere near that level but even the best can't handle that kind of pressure
Dan Jones still stinks
I don't watch East Coast football much, and this is the first time I've heard Daniel Jones talk, not seen him play, but he seems an extraordinarily decent and mature guy. I felt bad for him. He said the right things and was genuine.
Yea I really felt bad too, he seems like a good kid. And I’m an Eagles fan…
He has amazing character, he's a hard worker, and I wish him the absolute best in life but I think his time in NY is coming to a close.
@@goblinsarereal4954 never fear, Dan won't be leaving New York on welfare
Congrats to the Seahawks, you guys overcame your injuries. My team is just trash
The Giants just don't have nearly as much talent as the Seahawks. They need better players. Seahawks are much better at every position.
@@Jordan-RamsesYeah I'm not sure where the wheels on the train came off but this ain't the Giants team that made the playoffs last year and beat the Vikings. Their O line might as well not suit up on game day because they couldn't block a bowl of jello. People can gripe all they want about Daniel Jones but I don't know what anyone can expect from a QB who is running for his life on just about every play and has no run game because Saquon isn't in there. Yeah - he blew it on the pick-6; but 90% of his evening was spent avoiding sacks and got ground in the dirt 11 times anyway. If they suck bad enough they need to pocket some early draft picks to use on offensive linemen who can play.
@@briane173 the Vikings also were not very good. They won a lot of close games. The Seahawks were also not very good last year. Those were all not any better than other teams that missed the playoffs. Making the playoffs doesn't necessarily mean you're a great team.
6:31 ; that story in itself is ridiculous ! How can you have 9 plays and.... 2 yards 😅
Vikings D played a trick on everyone last year by making DJ look worth $40mil/yr. Big brain move.
Not a single person thought he worth that. Only the dumb as giants thought that.
To be fair he played well all season capped by the Vikings game.
@@nelsonc6173 15 TDs in 17 games ain’t it
This is coaching and organizational failure. Andrew Thomas OUT but Ezudu (High draft pick), Bredeson (Draft pick), JMS (High draft pick) Glowinski (high paid free agent) McKethan (draft pick) Evan Neal (1st Rd Pick). Daniel Jones can't get a pocket. When he did, he led a 2nd half comeback for the ages against the Cardinals.
Make it worse, the seahawks had only 1 starter on there O line.
Not only that, he was also playing out of position.
Don’t blame Waller and Hyatt for Jones still being inaccurate and scared of passes over heads and beyond 25 yards. No touch, no pump fake, no eye manipulation, and doesn’t look natural at the position.
A solid backup that could win you a couple games possibly.
Jones looks like a deer in headlights. Even with a good o-line, he's just not worth $160 million over 4 years.
Well said!
@@danjay7His contract is only guaranteed for two years, and he’s never even had a good o line to make that comment lol
Gotta love how rich gives the Seahawks the respect that a lot of big time shows don’t instead of just talking about how poverty the giants are.
geno smith threw for 100 yards and it wouldve been 17-10 if you didnt get the pick 6. lets be real, the seahawks are below average at best.
acting like a win against the Giants is very good is crazy
4 injured o lineman. 2 in that game, only 1 bad sack. Not elite, but not below average friend.
@@EddieWinebauer a 100 yard passing game is very poor. There are quarterbacks in this league that could pass for more than that without a line let alone with replacements. Come on bro, don’t let your fandom cloud your judgment
@jonr7364 yet teams would still lose after 300 yards, plus... so what is your point? Better to lose with 300 yards passing?
Seattle has 6 starters out can we just admit Seattle is a elite well coached team with a chip on their shoulder. Arguably they should have the last 2 years defensive rookie of year players and Walker who should’ve been offensive got robbed by NY.
What is it that the Seahawks do that no one else can? They trade away a "great" quarter back in Russel Wilson who then goes on to suck with the Bronco's, then recruit a guy who has sucked at every team he has been with, including the Giants[Geno Smith] and turn him into a class act!
If I was Caleb Williams I would skip this year's draft and stay another year at USC
He will go to a disaster team no matter what as a #1 pick in either draft
At least Giants fans got to see Jones throw for a TD despite only scoring 3 points.
😂
💀
😂
did you burn ants under a magnifying glass?
You know when you give up 11 sacks, that not the problem of the quarterback.
Jones should win an Oscar for acting like he deserves that contract.
He is continuing The DERP Song theme of The Giants
When did act like he deserved that money? He's never crowed like all the other QB's in the NFL. He's kept his head down and mouth shut unlike other QB's who have egos the size of mountains even though they don't do anything special or life save or life altering but play a sport for a living.
@@nelsonc6173😂😂😂😂😂😂

You should be asking how much they wasted on that hideous offensive line.
We saw this like 4 years ago with Nagy + Trubisky. Great coaching elevated qb, now in year 2 theyre coming down to earth and nowhere close to competing in their division.
Did you just call Nagy a great coach?
@@richardcranium5801I mean, it looked good when he actually catered to his QB's strengths. He just seemed to refuse to do that.

SPOONMAN HITTERSPOON! 🥄🥄
Barq worth 3 pts a game? OK. How would that have changed ANY of their losses??
Yeah, I noticed that too. Certainly, the presence of Barkley takes the pressure off of Jones. But, injuries aside, his impact is also limited by the fact that his o-line can't block. Football is won or lost in the trenches and the trenches for the Giants are pathetic.
Another crazy live box score at one point during the game was Kenneth Walker’s:
*3 Carries, 0 Yards, 1 Touchdown
*4 Carries, -1 Yard, 1 Touchdown
Take a shot every time Rich picks up his glasses with the intent to put them on, only to be set back down or moved somewhere on his desk.
Okay, **burp** I'm friggin' beat up, man.

Oh my God Rich your hilarious bro ( a combined score of 64 to 3) please keep doing what u do, for every one's sake, your the best brother! SORRY About your Jets, truly heartbreaking 💔. Go BOLTS!!!
Not to make excuses for Jones, but replacing him with a fancy new QB fresh out of college won't do a thing to change this team if that new QB is on his rear every other play. The O-line needs to be better, and the Giants haven't been able to fix it for what feels like a decade now. As a giants fan I know this team has plenty of other problems, but I'm sick of that one at this point.
What you talking about? They would save 50 millions a year. Stop blaming the oline! Oline are bad but Jones Kobe that but just stand there for 5 minutes don’t help
He’s paid like a top 10 QB. Top ten QBs don’t need a completely perfect setup for them to be good. DJ is in year six and we still talk about him needing these perfect pieces around him to succeed. Top ten QBs don’t need specific pieces in place to be good. Either you’re good or you’re not. The excuse that the team is bad no longer works because he’s on a franchise QB contract…in NYC market btw
@Luluthrcat-22 @Azikkii I don't disagree with either of you, and again I don't mean my comment to excuse Jones' play or his contract. I just don't think the offense would magically be fixed if you swap him for a cheap, talented new QB. I think the O-line is a problem and it has been for years
@@Luluthecat-22 Hawks fan here: give Jones a little credit. It would have been 18 sacks and 24-0 (and probably worse) if not for Daniel Jones's legs. Dude can only do so much.

Nobody recognizes that the Seattle O-line was gutted possibly worse than NY’s. Seattle was one more O-line injury away from having a TE playing Tackle
Correct. Or Jake Bobo!
Hawks were missing their starting LT, C, RG, RT with the LG the regular center playing out of position. All night all we heard about was the Giants being short their LT - as if that fact had more than 15% to due with that cluster we witnessed!

Saqon being hurt again is exactly WHY these guys don't get paid the way they want to be paid.
Exactly…. These media people be like, this is why you pay saquon and not Daniel….

yep. rich keeps using the reverse reasoning every single time
I think he’d be more inclined to give it a go if his team took care of him. Just look at Joe Burrow
Giants should take a look at their rival eagles......load up ur RB room with soild all-around players, not super stars. They end up feeding off each other and helping the team
The way he said, "check that box"
The team they beat (it's really just Cousins throwing to Jefferson and nothing else) just won their first game of the year .. playing a team that is yet to win. They weren't a good team last year, horrible D, and they still aren't. And beating them is the pinnacle of Jones career.
New York sports fans are delusional.
THANK YOU!
THIS!
People got so caught up in the Giants having a winning season they forgot to examine who exactly did they beat and how did they win.
They beat mostly bad to mediocre teams last year , and had to scratch and claw to best them at that (they tied Washington on game )
Meanwhile solid to good teams routined them if not bodied them. (Those Dallas games weren't close...the Giants scored late when it didn't matter ) The only reason the second game against Philly looked competitive is because Hurts was hurt lol.
And rhen they beat. Vikings team with no defense in the playoffs.
The entire season last year was fools gold
Fools Gold. I like that handle.@@anaihilator
Witherspoon said in the post-game interview on ESPN that he knew what was coming with the Giants in the pick-6 play from watching film.
Another commentator elsewhere on TH-cam noted that the receiver ran a bad route.
This.
If you watch the play, the WR almost looks surprised that Weatherspoon basically ran the route for him.
Yeah Campbell ran a whip route instead of a hitch
"the actor!"
So good Chris
This actually makes the point of NOT PAYING oft injured RBs
The giants stunk last yr as well. They started 6-2 and finished 3-6. That's not a good football team. The team they beat in the playoffs was the 32nd ranked passing defense. Danield jones has more turnovers than touchdowns on his career as well it's time to move on from this chump
SB is literally injured right now and we're criticizing the Giants for not paying him...Andrew Thomas is a FAR bigger loss than SB.
Seahawks aren’t scrubs. We thought they would be when they traded Russ, but they have a LOT of good strong pieces. I don’t think they’re Super Bowl good, but they can make playoffs.
This was a 50/50 game in terms of win or lose. I haven’t lost faith yet. Daboll and Schoen overachieved last year and are still treating this as a rebuild. I would like to see a new Special Teams and O-Line coach as of now, but I still give them until 2025 to turn it around. This was a big mess that needs cleaning.
You consider it a rebuild ? Then why pay Jones and not Barkley , you would’ve saved money if you’re indeed trying to “rebuild”
@@WesleyParksTTV Absolutely consider it a rebuild. That’s what Schoen was brought here to do. Just because we did really well last season doesn’t mean he’s deviating from plan. Gettleman deviated on a dime and look where it got us.
Because the RB market is bad, and there were no viable or better alternatives to Jones. Wash-ups like Jimmy G, Carr, Winston, Mariota, Darnold or Wentz? Ancient Flacco, Foles, or Matty Ice? You got your QB. He had one bad game last night. Worst case scenario, contract has a trap door and we’re out after two seasons. We did well enough last year that I will give the benefit of the doubt to Schoen and Daboll. Daniel Jones is my QB until he isn’t.
Making the playoffs is all they can do. It's such a low bar. The entire point of the game is to win the Superbowl. They never will again under Carroll. So long as he gets his playoff participation trophy then Seahawks fans are happy. I don't know at what point they'll want more.
Seahawks' Superbowl window is open now. They're the 5th youngest team in the NFL and probably among the deepest. The team you saw last night was missing the following offensive linemen: LT, C, RG, RT - with the LG the center playing out of position... They were down two CBs and lost Jamal Adams after nine plays. Etc.
They're gonna be good when they start hitting on all cylinders.
Look for three playoff teams out of the NFC West: Niners, Seahawks, and Rams.
@@carrite It opens when they get a new QB and move on from Geno Smith. He’s good, but he’s got a ceiling. He ain’t taking you to a ring.
The Actor!? Lmao! Well done
Showed the diff in depth for each team. Most of game Seahawks were running with their entire 2nd string O-line. Everyone injured.
What's that tell you about the quality of coaching for the Seahawks? Their 2nd-stringers are practically interchangeable with their starters, because they compete, compete, _compete,_ every single day. You see it in the quality of O line play, you see it in the way Drew Lock just stepped in and went Geno on 'em. Can't say enough about John Schneider and his ability to draft and trade, and Pete's impact as a head coach with these young players.
Thank god they didn’t pay Barkley yet. Imagine Jones and Barkley making 60 millions and give them exactly this 😟
Might I suggest to the NFL that they avoid the Christmas rush and flex the Giants/Bills out of the SNF slot _NOW?_
Rich and the Leonardo reference 😂
I loved that Back to the future reference about Reagan *insert Leo DiCaprio gif*
Rich saying Barkley needed to be paid when he has missed 75% of the season is wild.
Rich: "THAT'S why they should have paid him - because he's gonna get hurt!"
You can find a running back. Every year, a new running back emerges. They aren't worth the money. Sorry to say it. Same with Zeke. I can see paying after they get you to a Super Bowl but not for potential
He was being sarcastic he was pointing out that this is why the Giants didn't play him.
@@josephcox3091have to respectfully disagree. He pointed it out in the context of how many more points and yards they get when SB is on the field, seeming to make the argument that he was worth what he wanted. I agree with the OP’s point that while his backups haven’t exactly picked up the slack, he can’t seem to stay healthy enough to justify the payday
They went 6-2 in the first 8 games last season and won 3 games the rest of the regular season. Then beat the biggest fraud 13 win team you've ever seen and summarily got destroyed by the Eagles in the Divisional Round. Did anybody actually watch the Giants last year?
The biggest fraud last year was Tampa Bay
They had a WORSE point differential than the Vikings and won only 8 games while scoring 100 fewer points
You can't blame us... we haven't had many winning seasons since winning the super bowl 😅
I miss Eli, and the post-season 2007 & 2011 Giants; it will be a long rebuild

im i the only person whos noticed how strange this season is
It's early still but I do sorta agree. Lots of horrible OL play which has led to mediocre QB play in a lot of games. Also a TON of blowout games with 2 and 3 TD victories lately.
You know it's a disaster when Rich got a 16min vid on one game 😅
Lmfaooo not since A-Rod got hurt smh
I see zero reason why caleb would want to go to the giants. The offensive line is pathetic and they have the worst talent in the league on offense
Saquon's prime was wasted by Giants and Dimes. And then they paid Dimes. Players on the team know what a good QB looks like and Dimes is not that. Players will not devote themselves to an organization that consistently makes bad decisions such as paying Dimes.
I agreed with everything except - Barkley is injured, again, basically every year. Shouldn’t have paid Jones and shouldn’t pay Barkley.
To be fair, all the Giants defense allowed was one big play from Lock to Fant. Geno didn't do a damn thing.
Giants are stuck with Jones now, Offense is a joke, and I imagine Coach wants out. What a mess.
It was a perfect storm for the sack count. Seattle too much team speed/youth, both teams missing Oline players but Jones is not equipped to fire the hot. The only real success NY had was the designed runs by Jones, broken plays by Jones and the short throw to the sideline. The Giants were keeping 6 in at times and 2 Seahawks were still getting home.
Call it like you see it Rich 👍🏻
3 points and an extra 40 yards? Wow that’s so great! 🤦♂️
Nice Back to the Future reference
NYG coaching was pretty dubious.
the 6th pick with the....pick 6. pure gold, Rich. ill put that up there with "you cant beat Tebow on a hail mary".
AND... Why the heck did the coach for the Giants let Jones stay in? That was brutal injustice to him! Period!
Reminds me of Wilson that the O line of the Hawks couldn't protect him so he had to scramble
And had to carry the game?
I like Jones but I'm in love with Geno as a Hawks fan....Go Spoon!

Carson Palmer is the best USC QB ever. Next I think is Rodney Peete. 100% right, they have not performed at the next level.
I said it before the season started, "Everyone has Daniel Jone's number, and if Saquon gets hurt, the season is over before it starts". I hate being right. And i'm a Giants fan.
I been saying this .. I am glad I am not only one who thinks like this.. Daniel jones is not connected to the team.
@@TRPERA Any team who watched him in the playoffs last year was thinking "Oh. This guy thinks he's Michael Vick and will run the ball himself everytime. This is going to be too easy!"
I kinda of agree but to be honest this OL is terrible and it all starts upfront … Evan Neal looks like a bust and when you use such a high draft pick on him it sets back the team .
@@FINEST-uk8nc i agree that the o line stinks. Its just that Jones wants to be the hero while the entire defense is penetrating.
If the Steelers don't cut Pickett now, this is our future as fans.

The correct name for that play is not the “tush push,” it’s actually called the “butt plug.”
That game last night is another reason Caleb Williams and other elite QBs need to stay in school. Or maybe the NFL should do a draft lottery
I love how rich thinks every athlete wants to play in new york. Caleb had to be sitting there last night thinking thank god I don't play for that team
Saquon missing two games means the Giants were right to hold the line. That's just the game, like it or not.
My guess is Saquon is gonna be "injured" some more this season, to sit out enough games to balance out the value of his contract. Just sayin'.
"The ACTOR?"

So much thrashing, they had to remind you twice in the title 😂
A week later, Indianapolis saw what happened to the Giants and paid their RB $42 million.

What about the penalties last night... WoW
Re; Witherspoon/s pick 6 , he didn't "jump the route".as much as he moved up a step to catch the ball when Jones threw it to the outside of a receiver who turned inside.
I think this is right - it was fundamentally a miscommunication problem.

Someone needs to send that joke to Brandon Perna.
Last season the giants won a lot of close games. Their head coach took risks, he gambled, and won most of the time. Maybe they weren't really that great. I mean, who did they beat in the playoffs? Minnesota? That team always finds a way to lose in the playoffs.
Pointing out that we were among the final four in the NFC with Eagles, 9ers, and Cowboys makes me feel worse 😢
The defense played amazing last year. Was sad watching Eli and Payton try to say no one was open every play.
they weren't really as close as it seemed, had they played either of the cowboys or 9ers they would have been blown out as well
With the pick 6 joke😢😮😂
Caleb ain’t goin to that shitshow.
I honestly think jones is going to get the coach fired he was visibly upset
Saquon being out with injury is the exact reason teams don't wanna pay these RBs. I say give them good contracts but with stipulations about how many games need to be played. Not necessarily about yards or production, but about being healthy and available.
to be fair it doesn't look like paying the quarterback worked either
Go Hawks!
YEA BECAUSE IT WAS A CONTRACT YEAR! SAME WITH DEXTER AND THOMAS, ALL GOT PAID AND THE TEAM IS GOING BACKWARDS!
