As a Chiefs fan, no one here in KC ever doubted that this would happen. Ever since week 4 or so, I just accepted that we weren't going to play our best football until it was really life or death. We don't need to go 17-0 and catch every pass in the reg season to win the Super Bowl. And I knew that as long as we stayed heathy, then we'd be fine in the post season in spite of the fact that we weren't playing our best. And today, we still left a lot of plays on the field; credit to the Raven's D for shutting us down in the 4th quarter esp on those 3rd/4th & 1 plays in the red zone. Yet, we still won. The media LOVES to hype up the the sexy/flashy regular season teams and make them seem unbeatable in the playoffs _(e.g., the Bills, the Ravens, the Dolphins, etc.)_ But just like SF _(who we'll have our work cut out against in a few weeks),_ the true test of a Championship team is being able to handle adversity and come from behind when it really matters. None of these MSM Bowl Champs have done that yet, so. The media acted like just bc we didn't play our best in the regular season and since Mahomes has never played on the road that this was TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE 😂😂😂
I hear what you guys saying but Andy Reid is a goat of a coach for getting the chiefs in the superbowl with what they have, Ravens had 6 carries in total explain to me how a team dominating the rush all of a sudden change their game plan and have 6 carries against a defence that struggles abit against the rush and before yall come at me gus the bus was averaging 4/5 yards per rush all of a sudden they not running the ball make me understand 😂

I think what really hurt the Ravens was the lack of a run game. Once the Chiefs got a lead, the Ravens abandoned their vaunted run game to the detriment of the team.
Harbaugh’s head hunting directive backfired big time. Personal foul penalties and trying to bully the other team isn’t a winning strategy vs experienced professionals like the Chiefs.

We have to acknowledge the shortcomings of teams aren’t always on the players. Patience is a virtue (understanding time cannot be rushed or slowed so slow down and control NOW). It’s inexcusable for the Ravens, the NFL’s top rushing team, to have only handed it off 6x in a 17-10 ball game. That tells me the moment was too much for the coaches. They allowed KC to “speed” them up unnecessarily and divert them into a game that was entirely out the norm. BAL went down outside of their identity. Coaches should’ve gotten the players and themselves, under emotional control, then you live with them results as long as you’re true to yourself.

Offensive Coordinator’s have to really scheme for quarterbacks like Lamar. Lamar is special, but it remains the same in the end. When Vick came back into the league he was better because he understood the passing game more and he was better at throwing the football. Vick looked good in Philly. Who was his coach, and he was offensive minded, Andy Reid. Lamar’s time is not up, he still needs to learn a few things.
What does he need to know?

And they absolutely need a better receiving cast for him. All year I kept hearing it’s his best cast but all they really had was Flowers. And quarterbacks like him do better with a better running game, running back. Because that RPO and zone reads becomes harder for teams.

No disrespect to the Chiefs, but the Chiefs didn't win this game, the Ravens LOST this game. The Chiefs gave them every chance to come back and win this game, as did the Raven's D in the second half. From the start, the offensive playcalling was abysmal. How do you have the best rushing attack and only rush 6 times with your Runningbacks. 6! At the start of the second half, Harbaugh even said they need to start rushing more, and what did they do - not that. And even with the shitty playcalling and the STUPID penalties, they still were in a position to make it a one score game, only for two bonehead turnovers to be made. Truly Disappointed for the Ravens Defensive players - they played at a Super Bowl caliber all season only for their offense to let them down.
