This was a 1 1/2 day regional conference for mostly high school students. Considering we had only 3 hours of rehearsal to put a whole program together, I was very pleased with the result. I hope you enjoy the transcendent music of Bach!
Good attempt; the lack of professional players show great problems in intonation, especially on the high notes, and lack of clarity in the fugue. Some players drag behind. A very difficult piece to play with only one set of instruments that lack the appropriate range required by the music.
I don’t think the instrument lack the appropriate range at all, but the problem is, how you said, the lack of professional players to make it sound like a professional orchestra but hey, this is not a professional orchestra haha
I get that this an attempt to try to recreate the fugue, but the execution is just not on par. A lot of intonation problems along with the fact that this version does not mirror what the original portrays. Sometimes it's just better to stick with material that is made for cellos, as a cellist myself.
I'm sorry, but this is just horrible. Besides the obvious problems (out of tune, lack of synchronicity), the interpretation lacks emotion. Compare and contrast with the version played by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, with José Serebrier as conductor.

I love it. Very cool idea.
to be honest the arrangement is quite good, I hope to hear a professional version of this one day ♥️
AHH I EXPECTED TO BE GREAT AS THE FANTASIA VERISON AHHH
Découverte tardive. Mais j'aime beaucoup la performance. Interpréter au violoncelle un morceau prévu pour l'orgue : bravo !
Brilliant idea 👌👏👍
I'm gonna be honest, this doesn't sound that bad. I understand that there are some problems with synchronization, but it doesn't sound that terrible.
Exept the begining of the fugue and few other cringe parts, this is very sympathic
It just resembled feelings the right way
0:30 : She's on the list

I wonder whether this very difficult arrangement was written by a cellist.
Bach wrote it

It's just so difficult to understand the main melody....

I agree ... it's just unhearable due to asynchonousness...
I love when well-known music is played by (an) alternative instrument(s), and I appreciate the effort. But sorry, this sounds plain awful.
it sounds horrible
This is really pitchy. Hurt my ears, too many poorly executed notes.
fail
horrible
Sorry. This was very bad don't doing again.
