"he was gonna name me victor lord, jr." if i didn't know any better, i'd say that was foreshadowing. the writers did a lot of fucked up things during the tsj era, but i thought tsj and rh played off each other really well. rh's return was a great use of the show's history.
This had to be some sort of foreshadowing considering Roger was wanting to leave the show around this time. Victor Jr most likely existed at this time.
@rpm8064 I agree with both of you I mean the only people his cares about are some of his family, Jessica, Vicki, his kids and as hard as Rh's Todd fights it I think its Blair he loves. Through either him or Blair is always screwing things up. TSJ just never was Todd I mean if you take way the direction the writers wanted to go with the story for Todd other things didn't fit either. For one how TSJ Todd/Victor treated T&B's kids,,, vs. how RH's Todd did is very different... Sam was the expectwTSJ
@rpm8064 The Marty factor has LITTLE to do with this. That has more to do with his October 1995 resignation, not the 2003 one. He left as Malone returned and he feared what was in store for Todd. Marty was long gone by 2003 and appeared nearly a year after RH left
You could really hear BW's Canadian accent back then when she first started on the show. I don't hear it so much any more. I also read that KA had to work at getting rid of her Philadelphia accent and you could really hear it when she was a kid too.
I think b/c they wanted everyone to have a non descript dialect. Kdp had a tough time hiding her Kentucky deep south accent I loved when rh as todd ad libbed it in his return in 2011 he Saud " I love when u get mad u get all southern ' lol. Anyway kristen had a pretty heavy philly accent & even though we are told llainview is only an hr from philly look how viki todd dorian talk no accent very formal northern east speaking. Roger is grew up only 20 min from nyc & his town was next to Yonkers & that's heavy accents in ny like saying talk from where hew from is " tawk" I read an old interview when he did summer stock they made him lose the new York city type accent. Erika was born in Germany but went to the prestigious academy of dramatic arts in London so had that perfect kings English accent which lol roger did perfectly to make fun of her on screen esp the " not at tall" in trading places episode he does her in all her glory. Love them. Yes Brees accent is so Canadian! She does lose it over the years.
It is funny Todd supposedly raped someone else too but they never brought it up. Not once. Like ever. ! They probably wanted to go in a whole different direction with regards to his character and his motivation for raping Marty( huh?)
It was brought up many times. In the scene they mentioned Marty's name several times. The difference is Todd went to prison, paid a heavy price, Lost pretty much everything, apologized to Marty, saved her life and that of two little kids, went to counseling and faced what he did, and really changed. Mitch Lawrence never even admitted that it was rape.
Two great actors. Roger and Roscoe. Loved them both. So sad they cancelled this show. So sad Roscoe is gone. Thanks for the memories.
