So I want everyone to consider the fact that Eric Grauffel was using a 2011 double stack and speed reload mag carriers. It is what most of the sports shooting champions use today and is considered the best of the best high end gear of Speed shooting even today. This versus Robert Vogels Glock 34 with standard mag carriers. Eric was extremely fast so props to him but Vogel is one of a very small group of men in a generation with the speed to do it with a snappy plastic grip glock. They are not easy to control compared to a nice heavy 2011.
I doubt these plebs have the same accuracy I possess when firing dark magic bolts from my hands at orc bandits. ~ Fitzwilliam Trilbyton - Moderator of /r/SkyrimMods and High King of Tamriel
The bat is to train for if you're playing softball with some Republicans and some crazy Bernie supporter runs on the field and starts shooting everybody.
I feel like they missed a great opportunity. They could have made the steel plates to ring at different pitches and play a song as the shooters hit them. Get the "I'm lovin' it" diddly or "share a coke" and make a fortune.
Are these pistols with modified everything basically, triggers, grips, springs, compensators basically All around better guns for personal carry, or are they specifically only good for competition shooting.
Elements of those guns are becoming more popular in carry guns. But true race guns would not be a good idea for carry. They can be very picky on ammo and can not run a wide range of selections like most basic firearm.
@@Paragon_Reason As far as I can see, Pro-Am has an open and a limited division (equivalent to USPSA divisions). In limited no compensators and no optics are allowed, but everything else is up to your liking. In open there is basically no rules for the guns. Vogel and Grauffel seem to be shooting limited, it wouldn't make sense for those guns to start in open. I'm not quite sure about USPSA open, but in IPSC open (which is very similar) most people nowadays shoot .38 super auto with hand-reloaded ammo so the compensator will get a ton of gas pressure and keep the gun 100% flat. Those guns look like Sci-Fi toys and they puff like steam trains at each shot (you can literally see the gas shooting up from the compensators)
It's not actually a light, it started out as a light but was converted into a frame weight. All internal components have been removed, making it an empty "shell," that he then filled with weights, creating a legal frame weight. Vogel had this new frame weight approved by IPSC, USPSA, and Pro-Am authority before he started training with it, and later shooting matches with it.
I get this question a lot, I've already answered it in the comments, but I've now put the answer into the video description. Please check it out. Thanks! :)
That's interesting, I didn't know that was possible to do within the rule guidelines. I'm assuming this approval is only for limited division? I guess since Eric shoots a heavy, all metal, Tangfoglio Stock 2 with a bull barrel it's only fair for Vogel to do so, to help level the playing feild.
Bob Vogel is a "law enforcer", but for the sake of the conversation, since when did shooting metal plates become such a vital skill in "law enforcing"?
***** what? The USA has won 107 medals in shooting competitions in the summer Olympics. The next highest country is china with 49. How is that not really successful?
***** Oh I did not see sweden but they only have 15 gold so I guess that is why they are considered 4th place in medals. Also that makes no since. Just because the US has more people does not mean there would be more people competing. Each country has similar numbers in the amount of people competing in certain events. That would just be an unfair comparison. The fact is the US dominates in the competitions. They have almost has much gold as sweden has total medals. You cant say the US is not really successful when they have the MOST medals. (also I never said checkmate Europe)
Hugh Janus Because, unlike hollywood, dual wielding guns throws out all fundamentals of shooting. It is far less accurate and makes reloading a chore. One pistol with proper grip and technique is far more effective than dual wielding.
Ehntals If someone dual wielding can beat the time of someone wielding one gun, it should be allowed as it takes more talent and will result in the best time.

lllerlll I mean, I dunno. The Olympics are all about who's the most skilled at some physical activity. This makes perfect sense. Its a great way to see who has the quickest reflexes and hand eye coordination. Then again, that's why there's skeet shooting in the Olympics. As long as they're not shooting people this is as stupid as any other sport and most sports seem pretty stupid if you really look at them. In what other world would watching grown ass men kick a ball around for 90 minutes be acceptable?
DEEK Everyone has different opinions. This doesn't have to be everyone's cup of tea. Not liking a sport doesn't make someone a whore, it makes them a human with formed opinions. I may enjoy video games. Others may not. I may enjoy watching people play said video games on TH-cam. Others may not. It doesn't mean they're whores, it just means they're not a replica of me, and that's okay.
Jaystings I find this really impressive, those guys are amazingly skilled. But a life skill? No way, not if you aren't in the military or other job where you can be reasonably expected to have to shoot something. It's not even that important a survival skill, since you are unlikely to find yourself with a gun if you happen to be in a survival scenario.
One of the greatest competive shooting moments in practical shooting history

Glad you made this comment. I was going to - stock Glock against a comparitively 'go fast' gun
He was using a Tanfoglio rather than a 2011. Vogel a Glock 35. Both in 40sw I guess
@T N ah fair enough- that's a bit more impressive. Still kudos to Vogel for running a light plastic fantastic gun against a heavier pistol
Vogel switched from either a 2011 or a CZ shadow to glock. For him be found the glock best, I think because the bore axis works well for him
Well standard Glock with a 5 pound flashlight fixed to the frame .😂 Grauffel shoots Tanfoglio ( now CZ).
That was intense!!! I love how Vogel uses duty gear that is insane! America!!!!!
Slowing becoming a Robert Vogel fan. This guy is an amazing shooter.
Watch his double tap video on "taran tacticle"
Thanks for adding the commentary! Now I feel the competitive excitement! Excellent shooting by both too...in the rain on the tie breaker stage even.
2 of the best shooters in the world. Thanks for the video.
VAC ban incoming
Straight up amazing shooting from both sides.
These guys vision must be better than 20/20. I've had my eyes mixed and still can't this good. What a great video.
Apparently your vision still blows. Or, your ability to proofread is worse than your vision ever was.
In case someone wants to add subtitles:

A few years ago my wife & I trained for a day with Bob Vogel. He's an amazing shooter.
That was amazing. Love watching these competitions.
Vogel is seriously something else

Fuk off ye cheeky scrub
Hey I just realized I'm in this video! Crazy lol. That's my mom RO'ing at the end
Vogel is the man!
Wow. Glock is not easy to handle. How ever he manage to win the match. Amazing
vogel using a glock? what model? thanks
@Butuan Shooters Forum - I think he uses a G34.
ReachBlows Dick Should be a 35 here 👍
Always
I could watch this every 4-5 weeks or so just to giggle my loud American arse off.
Oh, that's right-- I do.
With the reloads! Legendary.
Just curious, is this a big sport? Can you live from it?
Kingjeffkoch Depends, if you hold the gun towards you, you can't.

Kingjeffkoch yeah, there are gun companies that sponsor you
cheezoncrack1 You know that elitism seems pretty stupid on a human trash site like youtube?
cheezoncrack1 You should find god, your soul seems pretty dark.
what's with the bat?
ShorinRyu74 It's a way to prevent them from starting with their hands on their gun, makes the initial draw slightly more challenging.
thanks
The bat is to train for if you're playing softball with some Republicans and some crazy Bernie supporter runs on the field and starts shooting everybody.
Legend has it , i'm still there trying to clear those plates!
Team America! Way to go Bob!!!!
I feel like they missed a great opportunity. They could have made the steel plates to ring at different pitches and play a song as the shooters hit them.
Get the "I'm lovin' it" diddly or "share a coke" and make a fortune.
Twinkle twinkle lil star
I thought I heard mary had a little lamb
Wow, thanks for this video
That grimlen that got in front of the camera at the end of the video scared me. I was about to shoot my computer screen with my 9

Vogel's gun had a light attached to the rail. I didn't know that was allowed.

Jessica Hook
So he had one and other guy didn't.
Rob edwards Imagine if he had a railgun!!
Jessica Hook Rofl, that sure shut him up quick.
+Jessica Hook You are so Beautiful! Muah!
Wow amazing almost tie but the last round final stage last plate 9. To 8. Something very awesome
Its a perfect melodies.. Hearing the plate he shot!...
Amazing and entertaining.
Nice shooting Bob!
That was pretty awesome
What's up with the purple plastic bat?
That is just wicked shooting
People forget how OG Vogel is.
Any idea as to Eric's pistol? Possibly a CZ 75 TS?
Probably a Tanfoglio Stock 2.
He is hooked with Tanfoglio. So its probably one of theres.
was this timed?
What gun did they use?
This guy's are savages shooting.💪🔥🔥🔥
Was Vogel running a flashlight on his Glock?
I get this question a lot, I've already answered it in the comments, but I've now put the answer into the video description. Please check it out. Thanks! :)
Sorry about that 🤓
Nice Capri pants, are those yours Jessica?
Interesting start with the T-ball bat lol Great shooting
Amazing!
Impressive shooting!
that was awesome, love seeing the water being knocked off of the plates in the end. PRO AM 2015 see you there!
Bob is a damn badass!!

Rob edwards agreed. The pistol matchup wasn’t fair at all. Vogel still beat him lol
He started with a purple baseball bat. Thats part of the sport right? To hold something sometimes?
Fantastic
That was awesome!
Vogel has the gift…
Waw very very nice target sir you are very professional shooter
Awesome
that reload at the end tho
I thought that he was gonna get insta-shot @2:36
Bout beasts!!
good run.
These guys need to teach cops how to shoot
Patrick Wumbo They'd still only hit the targets if they were black
Patrick Wumbo Cops have a weighted trigger, makes them more inaccurate as hell. Still doesn't explain how civilians get shot up for no reason.
Patrick Wumbo then we'd have no black people left
Mox_au Yeah, somebody has to rob liquor stores. Might as well be a black person.
HoudiniWeenie wow too edgy and racist. SO controversial and funny lol
Bring back pro am
Very cool
Insane
Here again for the gloating.
Never.
Gets.
Old.
I like it!!
1 missed shot between winner and runner up, insane
Beting Eric Grauffel: Every shooter's dream.
👍🏻⭐🔥
I'd love to see the results of the average law enforcer.
Bob Vogel is a "law enforcer", but for the sake of the conversation, since when did shooting metal plates become such a vital skill in "law enforcing"?
I'd love to see yours. By the way, dick, Vogel's a cop.
...wwwow... (And I'm one of these go fast shooters) but all I got is; ..wow..!
champion vs champion...close fight
Respektttt

Check Mate In America for localisation ? Of for theses guys ? Because Éric Grauffel who win at the end is French.
So not only in America.
Yoshinja22 Vogel won at the end. Grauffel is the one in the redish shirt.
I can shoot that fast. or better.. :p. Pretty sure I might luck into at least one plate... These guys (and ladies) are seriously impressive..
18 shoot in 9 second 👍

MURICA

Weak, Robocop can beat em
CZ is way better platform for competition, eric's pace is way faster, but......:-)
I don't know why this doesn't feel that hard, maybe if the targets weren't so easily lined up.
DarklordDaUnicorn DaThird You've never had to fire a gun accurately with a time constraint, have you? Shit's harder than it looks.
Try beating their time
5 years later do you still believe this? hopefully you've fired a gun since and realize you can't do this like them lol
Robert Vogel is my King rly
Eric's back sight went haywire on him otherwise he wouldn't have missed those shots and won.
