So basically, Abishek has only one point that he is trying to prove but he ain’t discussing the overall process of the film whereas BR has a more balanced view point regarding master addressing BOTH the positives and negatives.
Master is slightly a different film than the traditional mass action films... accept it.. traditional lovers may not like it.. dot
Thank god its not a mass film. People are sick and tired of mass movies. In this film vijay was an alcoholic professor, and he played a character rather than trying to be the mass guy. Thats why the first half of the movie is awesome.

Look. Abhishek. Yes he was doing a pretty weird job in this interview. I agree on that. What I don't agree is the saying that a critic needs to take a movie. Being a critic takes a different set of talents from being a filmmaker. Simple example: We go to a very fancy hotel. And we order their special dish. And when it comes to the table, the seasoning is off. We have every right to tell the chef or the waiter that the food wasn't seasoned properly. We don't need to be a chef to say it. Ungalukku nu illa. This Is for everyone who has this mentality. Hope y'all find an answer from this

Where common man will go in with an expectation and see if he gets all he expected. Rangan talks like a proper critic who is happy a big star is trying some thing new. This Abi guy is saying he is disappointed because this movie is not making me cry like how they do in other nenja nakra masala movies.

Abhi was right. It is the fans who don't agree. Master failed in emotional conection. Only what I felt little new was the establishment of the villain. Otherwise it was a regular vijay story which he is been doing since last 8 years. No brilliance or interesting points.

Rangan is just a class apart!! Love reading anything that man writes, such clarity and articulation. I felt Abishek was a bit condescending with the interviewer, you can just see it with the way they interact with the interviewer. Would prefer to see Rangan with someone like Sudhir.

Kaidhi was superb and was as detailed as Die Hard. Dilli had a dark past in that film, explained beautifully in the jail scene when the villain finally hears Dilli's name.Please watch the film again.

I totally agree with these reviews. Being thalapathy fan I too felt the same. Nothing to do with favourtism. Every movie should have a justice and meaning with logics. Only the mass scenes doesn't make sense

The rage that was not seen in JD's character is fine. His major is psychological, he can have emotion, he can mourn but JD had anger in him but he didnt act on rage seems fine considering how he handles thing.....he even states Bhavani is intelligent 🔥 all this detail adds to the character JD whose major is psychology. I think this movie is kind of movie that should be watched again.

Throughout the review BR just compares Vijay's past film with this and kind of portray that this is Vijay's best. Could be. But Lokesh has failed many.
