There’s a misconception that Maddie is the favorite 🤩 because she’s the best dancer. She is the favorite because Melissa allows Abby to groom Maddie. All the things Christi was screaming at Abby about turning Maddie against her friends. Melissa allows that. She allows Abby to sleep in bed with Maddie. To fill her head with all of her toxic psychosis. She lets Abby do things that the other mothers won’t allow.
Abby has tried to favor Chloe. At the expensive of other kids. But Christi wouldn’t allow it because she had the foresight to see that Abby was some toxic weird shit. 💩
That’s the real reason Abby hates Christi because she won’t give her free rein to groom and manipulate and exploit Chloe to her liking.
Also, narcissist cannot stand when someone see’s them for exactly what they are. That’s usually when they become their most vindictively spiteful.
So like any dictator if she can’t have it, no one can. Abby is the type of person that would rather break her toys than share them.
Brooke was the favorite before Maddie. And she burned Brooke out not caring about overworking the girl or the fact that her body was in constant pain. Because she never gets to rest for years Abby drags her from state to state to win trophy 🏆 after trophy. 🏆 and then she threw her away. For a new young star. 🌟
Both Kelly and Christi would not agree to pulling their kids out of school. 🏫 for more dance.
Melissa on the other hand is constantly pulling Maddie out of school for super secret private so she can learn all of the dances before everybody else and so her solos are always super clean and well rehearsed. As a benefit of all that extra time, by comparison, Maddie’s solo’s always look 👀 more professional than the other kids.
Melissa was sued with truancy charges by Maddie’s school after S3. For excessive, absence’s. So she had to start homeschooling Maddie. In S4

Honestly what are they paying for? Cuz the mothers make the costumes when there sould be a person responsible for at least most of the costume making
Its very unorganized. And then then its not like thier doung mindblowing choreography and learning elite skills. Abbys studio is shoen like its this elite one of s kind studio when its really not

Melissa having an affair was like the first thing I picked up when I watched this show for the first time. In the first episode when she said “my ex to be claims that dance ruined our marriage.” And then goes on to say “my boyfriend knows how much I spend on dance because he signs the checks”. So I don’t really think Christi said anything we didn’t already know. That being said, I don’t agree with Christi bringing it up because it has nothing to do with dancing or the show.

Abby’s abuse of Maddie is so scary imo. With the other girls it’s very obvious to everyone, the moms, the viewers. But with Maddie it’s always hidden in conversation and casual tone and mixed with a lot of love bombing so it’s way more difficult to notice.
I noticed it last episode but I forgot to comment on it, so when it happened in this one, I was like right! TIME TO EXPOSE HER!
What was the point of Nia being Dance Captain? To call Maddie! Glad you enjoyed the phone call reenactment!
