BSU alumnus, plus huge fan of Coach Codutti here. Jeanty is small, but he is the strongest person on the BSU team. He has amazing, I mean amazing, balance. And he is fast. Coach Codutti is going to like seeing the OC Dirk Koetter call this game. Lots of shifts, motions, all to run the same handful of plays. Containing the Boot game is going to be key to shutting Boise State down.

Penn State alumni here, he’s good yeah but we will shut this shit down real quick. Boise State never played anyone like Penn State defensively this year, maybe Oregon at best.

      Jeanty is the truth.
But he can’t do it all by himself, and
      A) Tough to for him to get yds when his G5 sized O-Line is being blow 1-2 yds into backfield every snap, and
      B) Even tougher for him to get yds from the bench when PSU is playing keep-away for 7 minute drives because undersized BSU D-Line is being bullied & can’t get off the field.
Again, Jeanty is for real. But so was Barry Sanders on all those Lions Teams that constantly got dominated because they didn’t have anyone else except Barry.

The title of this video should read instead: slowing down Allen or Singleton or Warren or the defense of Penn State…
I sincerely hope Boise expects to win this game by running the ball!
Go Penn State as we roooolllllll to winning our third national championship this year!
Congratulations also to Penn State women’s volleyball who just won national championship! Congratulations also to Penn State wrestling, who will win another national championship next year!

This is always great. Love it to be a good bit longer though. Like to understand how no one seems to wrap and tackle him. He doesn’t look any bigger or faster than most Big Ten backs.

Lol there’s a reason he was the 29th ranked RB coming out of HS in the same class as Nick Singleton for Penn State and Nick was the #1 RB in that 2022 class. 6’0 228 runs 4.35

Great video breakdown. This PSU defense has to be at its best tackling for the first time since the Brent Pry era. Diaz can scheme and Allen can make second half adjustments yet these have been some of the worst PSU tackling teams the last three years in my lifetime. Jeanty will tear up our Lions if they don’t have gap responsibility and sound tackling.

I'm not sure how i feel about this game after watching this. Our front 7 SHOULD dominate this matchup but our iffy tackling in some games has me terrified Jeanty is gonna have a Heisman moment agains this defense. How does the Penn State offense matchup against the Boise defense?

2,497 yards on 344 carries. 1,889 coming on yards-after-contact which often seemed to be the 5'9"'er disappearing behind the line and bouncing it outside for a big run. He seems to get stopped often for little or no gain. Just need to grab him. Boise's line does open holes in duo but they're seem to be manageable. Even that 6'7" tackle.
Jeanty isn't a battering ram. Didn't look like he had a Saquon jump cut. Just a smaller back with deceptive speed. On the back end, Boise State averaged around 219.6 yards passing. Not a big vertical game. Maybe some crossing/ dig routes with leverage to pull defenders. We should be be ok loading the box in man. Tracy and Rojas have to tackle.
Also, Gaines is still hurt. May be limited if not out. May not have worry about him getting loose.

    • @colewarner4954

This might be a game where Jalen Kimber has to sit. I remember in Florida the run game was a big issue for him and he had poor tackling technique. Put the better tacklers in we can afford to have worse coverage.

Jeanty is a great player. That said, PSU has far superior talent at just about every other position on the field (that's just reality/fact). If as a team we play close to our potential, Jeanty cant beat us. 38-17 PSU is about right if we play to our potential.

Penn State will be ready. They are very physical and they have waves of players who can run fast. They will take a toll on Jeanty. Boise will have to pass the ball to have any chance. Meanwhile Penn State's offense will grind away. Penn State had more offensive yards than Oregon when they played.

Because, that was in the first 3 weeks, and Oregon is obviously much better now, its about how your playing now, and my Nittany Lions elite defense is amazing, and Boise St, about to find out the hard way!!!! Jeanty reminds me of Oregon's RB James Jordan, who is a shifty jitterbug that is diminutive. Will they throw it to him out of the back field against the Nittany Lions?
Penn State's O needs to get the O-Line moving since they can get Boise State's D out of their gaps due to their lack of disciple. The same game plan at the Big 10 Championship game (vs. Oregon) versus the Broncos.

You line up and beat them up front and win the damn game like you are supposed to. You are playing one man, so while he gets his, you take care of business otherwise and win. Period. If you are a true title level team that's what you do. Stop freaking out.

    • @ryansheard8092
      @ryansheard8092 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

Hey, anything can happen. Understand though that PSU has far superior talent to BSU across the board. If we play to 75% of our potential, we win. If we ay close to our full potential, we win by 3+ scores.
That's not a knock on BSU. They COULD win the game. If they do, it will be because our players just didn't play to anywhere near their potential.

Great film breakdown. Very accurate. I agree. On our 3 string backups. In the only 3 plays out of 12 games anyone got to Ashton in the backfield and managed to tackle him. FYI we get our starting center and that entir left Online back. Ashton is healed up as well. Not to mention several other defense personnel as well . Boise wins in a close one. Nobody is stopping Jeanty . 😂 Boise is much more than Ashton just thought you should know some facts.

Yep Jeanty only had a 149 yards & 2 TD's in the game Maddog had 307 yards passing & 4 TD's Boise State put up 56 in that game I should add in that game from the center to the left tackle they were all out same for the first UNLV game guess what they are all back and our LT is one of the best in the game. It's going to be one of the ugliest losses for a Penn State team in a bowl game in their history . Pick your Posin stack the box and Maddog and his Grey Hounds Caples, Campers and Lauter will eat them alive.

Football games are not a certainty. If these teams played 100 games, neither side would win 100 out of 100 games. Anything can happen. One bounce of the ball can create a pivotal turnover that changes the outcome. The various analytics say Penn State is favored to win about 70% of the time against Boise.
