You have a great attitude! I love the video and the way that you get the most from this equipment, which sometimes does not get its due. Making the best of it--good job.
I have the same Observer but its a 125 for a little while {4 sail eb} but was supersize the 125 Observer has the same equipment as your 90 Observer Red Dots are same Tripod are same Lens are same AudioStar same Meade compass same I do have a portable Ryobi 18v replaceable battery to the 12v power source. AA battery I would never install those in any of my Meades they are to temporary and not enough power for me. No hard case. I do have all the original Meade shipping inserts / boxes so buying a wheeled case and slipping in Meade's original shipping inserts is a cake walk Observers Series What I think is Meade Observer series are all the same and are the Boss. Thx 4 the vid Im going to reference it on the eb sale.
That's cool to know they are that similar with all of the specs, etc... and thanks for watching! About to break it out again on the next camping trip. I bet your 125 has a larger field of view. Also, thanks for referencing this on the eb sale!
My mother just was given one of these from a coworker. Going to try and figure out how to get it working and hopefully get some good photos. And just to star gaze.
Your level encompass go down in the eyepiece of the telescope tube to acquire North so you can get polar aligned and get your telescope accurately oriented
Just to be picky... The compass does not show true North, it shows magnetic North. The difference is called the declination, and depends on your location and the date/time. In North America, it can be 10-15 deg difference.
Hi, that was very interesting and my next question was going to be, “Is it possible for you to show us the quality of what you are seeing?” However, you already promised to upload some pictures that you are going to capture, so looking forward to your next video. Cheers.
Thank you! I am now working on attaching my 35mm camera to the back of the telescope and hope to have some great images in an upcoming video, very soon!
Hello I'm weighing up buying the Celestron 100AZ vs a Meade ETX80 - can anyone advise which is better? I can get for roughly the same price. The Meade is older I know but has the automatic robotic object finder. Is the Meade the better option? Thanks for any help! Alice
Alice, thanks for your question. Personally, I've owned Celestron scopes and they have been very good quality for me, but since I purchased the Meade ETX90, I have been sold on Meade ever since. The carry case is amazing and very tough while being portable and the quality of the resolution in my eye piece is amazing! I also love the computerized object finder. I prefer the ETX90!

Thanks for watching and thank you for your very kind words, James!
Dude just found you you had me at “let’s break this bad boy out” - retired in NJ

Thanks Vinny! That was an important oversight on my part and good for people to know. We appreciate that comment!
