Government needs to get back into building housing. Builders aren't building enough houses. They can control supply and thus charging higher prices. There's no competition. So government has to build competition back into all markets. Competition brings lower costs.
I disagree. Housing is going on at a record pace in many places. The problem is the builders are price gouging, leaving many who can't afford to find cheaper housing or rent. I'm in such a situation.
The problem is interest rates are high so builders don’t want to borrow money. Interest rates need to remain high until inflation returns to normal.
The government needs to do NOTHING other than what the constitution says it should. Last time I checked, building housing wasn't in there!
