Conjurer doesn't reveal itself when it uses its ability. It tells town a conjurer is in the game, but they don't know who specifically it is. You could make an argument both ways for if using it immediately or saving it is better. I think of it like how an amne in TOS1 could decide to remember the first role they see or wait to see what ends up in the graveyard. Both are valid strategies. Using it immediately means the ability is guaranteed to be used and isn't "wasted" if you end up dying before you can use it. However, it might just result in you killing someone unimportant or killing someone you need alive (e.g. needing an NK alive to take out some town, because otherwise it's all up to your coven and you might just be hanged through a process of elimination) Waiting a bit longer means you might be able to kill someone important later on. However, it comes with the risk of you dying and not getting any kill at all. Depending on the rolelist (like AA), there might not even be an "important" person to save it for, and like the parent comment said it could be useful in distracting the town from their early leads. Sometimes getting a town out immediately could also be helpful if you're trying to gain majority. Both strats are valid, same as how an amne remembering the first corpse they see so they dont die as amne is valid, or an amne waiting to get a more valuable role/see who gets maj is valid. I am really excited about the new changes but the one worry I have is that all the day events like lovers, conjurer, and deputy will cause too many breaks in the flow of the day. It's really jarring, so I hope I can just get used to it.
I might be in the minority here but i don't think they'll get old honestly. they last very little outside of the admirer one, which the admirer one probably NEEDS to be relatively long for the other person to be able to react

Not really, if Deputy calls their shots, Jailor does their job and Prosecutor/Mayor helps the town, town can win, but due to it being a new game and a new meta it's still hard to say.

It reminds me of quite a few games that started with minimalist clean visuals then fucked it up by 'upgrading' them. FF7 is a great example of this. The jump from top down 2D in FF6 to horrible ps1 3d in FF7 is jarring. Darkest dungeon is another good one that screwed their UI over with unnecessary clutter in the sequel. Pokemon also can be thrown into the list when they went to the 3ds and switch. Gen 3 has the best visuals in the series and it was a slow downhill from there.

I figured the idea was to use the meteor as a last-ditch effort 1f1 before getting lynched, or to steal majority or win 1v1s vs. NK at the end of the game. Good chance that it would be underpowered if it revealed itself, but it still seems strange to me, since it's kind of the only class of its kind.
I like the idea of roles like Ritualist or Doomsayer where they can kill you by just guessing your role. This puts some amount of risk of confirming your role even if your side is in the majority. This also puts pressure to the townies whether it’s now a good idea to be confirmed as if you were someone like a Jailor and town seems to be losing, your existence is very valuable to make a difference in numbers.
It'd be interesting if you made a video about the role interactions, as well as the similarities between ToS and ToS 2 regarding roles (like what coven roles/town roles are reskinned mafia roles)
I think good feedback for the devs would be to make the #1 more distinctive from the lowercase "L". They currently look like the same character. "d1" looks like you typed "dl". LMAO ALSO! It would be neat to see Medium make a comeback, if they can see the ghosts of dead players moving towards certain people; on top of the chatter!

I'm really mixed about evils being able to just kill during the day... even if its once per match. It basically means that they can snipe a townie without any risk of LO, tps, trackers... on the first real day...

I like how these new roles work. Hard claimers countered by Ritualist's unstoppable attack? Voodoo Master making people unable to vote or use day abilities? Prosecutor, Deputy, Mayor that can even be hanged without any chance to reveal? Executioner that can just pick a target that will most likely get hanged the next day? Arsonist countering Witch and roleblockers who can't target the same person every night?
This game reminds me alot to the mobile game Wolvesville. Although, I'm really excited, been playing TOS1 for years now and I can't wait to dive into this one as well.

The chat is kinda mess. It's a very good idea to make key words stand out, but it's so convoluted it's unreadable. Words like "Hang" or "Defence" don't need to be key words.
I think Ritualist is overpowered as hell. I'm fine with Doomsayer personally but with Ritualist a Witch can just give them free kills like you did, taking out the guessing factor entirely

Berserker/War doesn't usually have a faction. Neutral (Apocalypse) has a faction cap of 1 outside of the Four Horsemen mode (where WW doesn't exist). Berserker/War also lacks any form of counter-attack when RB'd/staying at home, and gets hurt a lot more in the long run from getting disrupted by an unlucky RB or protect. (Still better than Juggernaut in ToS1, but it has its ups and downs compared to WW, especially since the earliest Rampage you can do is still N4)
Ritualist and witch is such a stupid combo. Sure is "fun" knowing you could just die with no way to defend yourself the next night after getting controlled.....
Do hope they figure out the day abilities and animations. Break up the flow of the game too much, day should be focused on chat and info from the night instead of abilities during the day
I don't feel like exe should be able to pick target. Have their target randomly change each new day? Maybe, but I'm not a huge fan of the current change.
Agreed, its' weird that exe is able to pick their target which can include evils. I also think the combination of them leaving the town after winning + tormenting a guilty/abstaining voter leads to a lot of swinginess because that means three players are removed from the game at once in a single trial. Perhaps the target should be randomly assigned and it gives you a new target if the old one dies during the night. I thought the point of exe is to trick town into lynching town, so they shouldn't be able to have evils as targets.

Seems way to easy winning as executioner now like you can just target someone that has been guaranteed evil and boom you just won. As for tormenting I think its a welcome addition tho I think the executioner should be able to chose to torment someone who innoed instead of someone who guiltied because why torment a person who helped you kill your target?
Pipe, a bit of a feedback: Chat is hidden during cinematics and those happen often. Coupled with you zooming in and back out makes me hard to read and follow what is going in chat. On a big monitor it feels like this: in morning chat appears, I start reading a line or two when it disappears into different part of screen (zoom). Things are happening in chat in the meanwhile. When I found with my eyes the new chat position and try reading again another cinematic starts. Then short time after yet another cinematic. Then scene change and you zoom out. Plus to compress action you cut out bits of the video where nothing happens but that also makes chat content jump? Or was it just expanding/collapsing chat? I don't know, I hope it gets better when I get used to the new UI in following uploads. I understand magnifying glass for chat is for mobile viewers, but I think you would need to look for a better balance. This feels very disorienting.

It's still in early access. We haven't even gotten the game yet (aside from some testers) so these problems could probably be fixed.

Having a custonusable template option for notes would be so helpful. Just a small option to adjust in the menus that lets you set it up as you want

Medium was removed due to just not woekf for a game like TOS where players can just leave after dieing making you useless

I don't think it's that bad. There are only 4 different animations that could play really low chance of a scenario like in the first game happening.

Sure is "fun" knowing you could just die with no way to defend yourself the next night after getting controlled.....
Solution is just claim after being witched. Coven already knows who you are, no point in hiding it.
Do hope they figure out the day abilities and animations. Break up the flow of the game too much, day should be focused on chat and info from the night instead of abilities during the day

Have their target randomly change each new day? Maybe, but I'm not a huge fan of the current change.
Agreed, its' weird that exe is able to pick their target which can include evils. I also think the combination of them leaving the town after winning + tormenting a guilty/abstaining voter leads to a lot of swinginess because that means three players are removed from the game at once in a single trial. Perhaps the target should be randomly assigned and it gives you a new target if the old one dies during the night. I thought the point of exe is to trick town into lynching town, so they shouldn't be able to have evils as targets.
@@0ceanking yeah kinda ruins the point of executioner. Maybe if you tried to target someone evil it would fail and you wouldn't have a target for that day. Seems way to easy winning as executioner now like you can just target someone that has been guaranteed evil and boom you just won. As for tormenting I think its a welcome addition tho I think the executioner should be able to chose to torment someone who innoed instead of someone who guiltied because why torment a person who helped you kill your target?

Pipe, a bit of a feedback: Chat is hidden during cinematics and those happen often. Coupled with you zooming in and back out makes me hard to read and follow what is going in chat.
On a big monitor it feels like this: in morning chat appears, I start reading a line or two when it disappears into different part of screen (zoom). Things are happening in chat in the meanwhile. When I found with my eyes the new chat position and try reading again another cinematic starts. Then short time after yet another cinematic. Then scene change and you zoom out. Plus to compress action you cut out bits of the video where nothing happens but that also makes chat content jump? Or was it just expanding/collapsing chat? I don't know, I hope it gets better when I get used to the new UI in following uploads.
I understand magnifying glass for chat is for mobile viewers, but I think you would need to look for a better balance. This feels very disorienting.
