Hi, Tips - 1kg bag powdered milk makes 10L (10kg) "as needed", takes up ~1L space onboard, cost $10 ($1p/L) vs that bulky expensive (~$3.40p/L) uht stuff with possible spoilage, more rubbish. For hikes/camping, put required powder in zip lock bag (packs smaller than container) likewise coffee, oats, etc. For sugar I use tablets, 300 teaspoons in a tic-tac size container. With the weight/size savings, add drinking water with a backpack bladder, or 20L Solar Camp Shower, ~$10 (eby), can drink from hose while it's in backpack (don't have to fully fill it). Can also save a lot of $'s if cook a bit extra at meal times, already cooking/cleaning, vac seal, dehydrate, ready for trips & passages. For those shore trips without tender, cheap small inflatable kayak, deflate & bury till you get back.
