How this only has 725 likes, is beyond my understanding. Hands down THE best Trello video I have seen. Most creators circle in the basic stuff, with examples that work for their specific usecase. This gives actual tools, and indepth. Thank you!

    Please help!
I have a problem with creating the automation via Butler button.
My goal is from main "mother-card" via checklist on it to create a butler, which when triggered, creates the card with name of the mother-card (main project card) and at the same time name of the item in checklist.
    My button currently sounds:
convert all the incomplete items in checklist "Campaign Planning" into linked cards in list "Task Backlog" using pattern "[{triggercardname} - {checklistitename}] ({cardlink})" copying labels
Unfortunately only the item name appears on the newly created card. The triggercardname is renamed on the checklist within the mothercard, but doesnt appear on a new card.
Does anybody know how to solve this?
    Thank you!

Is very stupid you have to actually type in the name of the checklist instead of selecting it from a combo!!!! How old were the children that wrote the software?

Thank you so much! I have 3 questions: my work involves the same steps with revenue cycle management and submitting medical claims.
Question #1 Is it possible to set up an automation for creating a new list that is customizable. For example lets say the standard check list states "call family to review insurance. coverage" , "request life insurance verification" "Request Pension verification" "Request bank statements".... however, once I know the location of the institutions, I need the checklist to show "request life insurance verification - PRUDENTIAL" "Request Pension verification -TIAA" "Request bank statements - Bank of America".... I don't want to retype the checklist, but I also need to add more information.
Question #2: Once I set a label on a card, lets call it "Clinical Evaluation" is it possible to copy the card onto a new Kanban board specifically for the three steps in the clinical evaluation process? Ideally, I want to go to the clinical eval board move all cards to done as I work on them, then have them appear in done on my master board when completed.
Question #3: is it possible to get a weekly summary of tasks I completed and tasks that are in todo or in progress emailed to me so I can share with my team members who are not using trello?

    Hello -
Is there a way to create an automation based on multiple Triggers/conditions being met...? Lets say, add a Checklist Item to a card w/ an assignee & date if another Cards Checklist Items are 100% complete.
    Thanks!
    - Jared

Excellent! I was using Trello only for follow-up of my contacts, and for online publishing. I didn't think of using it for my "to do" list and daily tasks. The daily checklist feature is awesome! Thank you!!!!

If you had an automation that has a checklist when the card is moved to a particular list, what happens when you manually remove that card back to a previous list, and then manually move it back into the list that had to check list again? Read delete the partially completed checklist and create a new one will it add another check list of the exact same type or will it delete the checklist completely bullet preserve the checklist that already has?

I moved all the cards from all the lists to one list (completed) with a calendar command setting (that was by a mistake). Is there a command or rule that helps me return the cards from that list (completed) back to their original lists? Thank you.

Hi Shane and thanks for your videos. However, I was gutted to realise when I tried to put some of your excellent automations into action that I can't use them unless I upgrade and pay for Trello! What a shame....Are there any free tools that you are aware of that can provide this sort of functionality? Many thanks.

    • @ActiveGrowth
      @ActiveGrowth  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

You can use one automation for free, I believe. There are no tools I know of that provide such features for free. Trello provides a ton of functionality for free and I think it's a fair choice for them to gate advanced automation behind a paywall.

We use Trello with Crmble powerup for CRM purposes. How can we set it up so that every new lead card that is generated automatically creates our follow up check list? Right now we have to keep going in to each new lead imported, or that comes in from booking a call on calendly and adding the followup checklist to the card. Thanks!

Just a minor point of feedback. A Positive suggestion (since so many of the comments under my videos are less than positive). When you include your face, can you please reduce the size of the portrait or just not overlay it? You are drawing attention to what you are doing on screen and your face talking makes it hard to see the tiny mouse cursor on my phone as I follow the tutorial on the computer. No problem with cutting to you talking if you are not demonstrating something, but otherwise draw attention to the important thing. Cheers!
