WD-40 is pretty useless for shifting rusty bolts. Not what it was designed for. They do make a proper penetrating oil, just buy the right tin but P Blaster or Kroil is better. Good luck. I thought that this project had long gone. I have a factory 2002 WS manual so I will be following along here in the UK. One of my favourite cars.
