This boss is beyond trash. Legit worst part of the otherwise great game. Most of the big big bosses suffer from being tedious, but this one takes the cake.

Okki chan didnt want to get out of her room to be a boss fight but in the end she accepted, little that they know is that she was totally gonna try to be the worst boss fight in the game

That's honestly why I switched the language to Japanese. I'll give them credit for giving English voice acting an option, but I couldn't help but laugh every time I heard the voices.

@@wallacesousuke1433 i wouldn't call it fun but there is an easy way to beat it if you just trick it into attacking you with its red attack and yokai counter it
Bring someone from a benevolent grave along and use weakness talisman or power pills, use attacks thats drain mainly ki and whenever those eye things drop down you either take a pill or use a talisman, resistance talismans are a good pick as well, for dealing damage i used the water sword skill from dual swords but I’m sure any weapon is good enough, the faster you kill them the better, at least that’s what i did, managed to beat this boss in one night
Fuck me what a disappointment of a fight, especially so since it's the boss you fight right after Shuten Doji, who's Imo one of the best fights team ninja has ever created, easily on the level of some of fromsoft's greatest bosses. And it's not like team ninja doesn't know how to do gimmick fights well since they demonstrated it already with daidara bocchi, which while not amazing was still a good boss in it's own right. So it's baffling to me how they managed to make one so boring and unfun to fight as this one
Honestly this boss isn't as bad as y'all make it out to be. Sure the camera is an issue and is still my biggest complaint about the fight, but visually the boss looks cool and gives off a good atmosphere. Plus the music is good. Honestly none of the bosses in this game are exactly bad. The worst they've ever done was Honda Tadakatsu and great centipede from the first game.
This is absolute trash reskin of the final boss in the original game. Not to mention how exactly like in the previous game you get to fight a bunch of bosses prior to fighting this bullshit. They need creative people over there.

This fight is not fair and requires a fair amount of luck to beat and that’s because of the off screen attacks.

Not really, I loved the fight, felt awful on the first attempt but once you get the hang of it it becomes a fun, if a lil too easy, fight.
I hate it but I figured to stay in high stance for the tentacles, then burned through the main eyeball
