As Africans, as with other nations our slaughtering of animals was a direction from the false gods of how to appease our ancestors, whom the gods placed as an intermediary between us and them.
Only male descendants from the tribe of Levi could be Levites, and the priests and the High Priest from the Levite tribe and from the Aaron family only. The animal slaughter that was brought by fallen angels had a different pattern to the one that came much later to the Israelites in the wilderness. The fallen angels had come before.
