Russians usually come with their family or at least spouses, and they are most of the time very friendly. Single men might actually be Ukrainians who had to leave their country in order to escape forced conscription. The funny thing is that Russians and Ukrainians are usually very friendly to each other. People in SEA are quite used to deal with all sorts of tourists and Russians are usually very welcome. I spent three monhts in Krabi last winter, living in a condo full of Russian families and Ukrainians and I had a great time! And then there are always some bad apples, but that has nothing to do with their nationality.
Thank you for sharing your experience and perspective! It’s great to hear you had a positive time with both Russians and Ukrainians during your stay in Krabi. However, my personal experiences have been quite different, especially during my travels in Bali and Thailand.Of course, I agree that there are always exceptions and good people everywhere, regardless of nationality. I appreciate you taking the time to comment and share your insights!
