Thank you for showing this amazing artist to your audience! I love Kokia's music so much. This song from anime "Origin: Spirits of the Past" from 2006 is just masterpiece. It's interesting, because it's self-cover of her song "Chouwa" from her second album "Trip Trip" from 2002. I really like live version from History concert tour 2012, I love that extra vocal melody she singing there. tried to recommend her music on some reaction channels, but not many reactors want to react to her, probably because not many people like my comments about her... One reactor did more reactions to her music what is amazing. Do you know more of her stuff? I highly recommend song "Il Mare Dei Suoni", especially live version from History concert tour 2012 (great concert). Kokia is classically and operatically trained, she don't use such techniques often, but in this song she use, sounds amazing. Another song is "Gematria" live from Layers ~Lights and Shadows~ concert 2016 (Kokia is always amazing live, even better than in studio), this song is inspired on buddhist mantras and have very interesting structure, not easy to sing.
The song is from Gin-Iro Kami no Agito (Silver-Haired Agito), known in English as ORIGIN: Spirits of the Past and KOKIA not only sings it beautifully, but the whole 2nd part of the song is sung backwards in Japanese by syllabus. For example when you have "rureku teshieka wo kito na kayadao ni rokoko no shitawa" it's really "watashi no kokoro ni odayaka na toki wo kaeshite kureru". Also, the numbers in the middle "3 25 15 21 23 1", when you transcript them as 1 = a, 2 = b, 3 = c, etc, you get "cyouwa", another way of writing "chouwa" which means "harmony".
Have you heard of Karma? That's the song that introduced me to Kokia, as an anime OST(Requiem For the Phantom) it's different from most I'm accustomed to and made me a quick fan of hers.
Just found this video! I was at this concert by chance, nope, she didn't open with this song, she opened with uchuu ga, also a powerful statement. The whole concert is on TH-cam and I highly recommend it Edit: my mistake I was in love in Paris but the setlist is the same

I have seen her in concert many years ago in Brussels. Amazing experience.
May you receive new protection
