GALERIES LAFAYETTE BERLIN: LANG LANG AND BERLIN, A TRUE LOVE STORY
Lang Lang on the 19th of January 2015 in Berlin. A great event, a world premiere. The launch of his fragrances, a worldwide exclusivity with a prestigious partner: Galeries Lafayette Berlin.
Working closely with the French company "Art in A Bottle", the genius artist has created a magic world, where perfume and music, yin and yang, women and men are connected by a fantastic harmony in a unique moment to share his emotions through two amazing fragrances, one for HER, and another for HIM.
Two amazing olfactive compositions orchestrated in three movements like a piece of music: a fresh and spicy opening, a jasmin heart as a chorus, and a splendid woody finale.
Two masterpieces as personal gifts from the artist, subtly encapsulated in a beautiful bottle, scarved like a piano, in soft curves, like the flow of his music. A total new approach to the fragrance world.
Lang Lang 2017 Fragrances at Galeries Lafayette Berlin no doubt surprised the market. One of the best pianists of our time released his perfume. Discover the Amazing Lang Lang Fragrances. Stay tuned , - SUBSCRIBE, IF YOU INTERESTED OF CLASSICAL MUSIC.

    • @dundun679

also good life tips, but I know exactly what LL means, his interpretation of the piece is knowing how to save his energy and kind of lay back on some of the notes so he wouldn't potentially made a mistake. When some masters play, they let everything go, speed, power, everything, then at certain point they make a mistake by hitting the wrong note. But with LL, he's very well controlled knowing his limits, and he uses that to make certain parts of the piece "easy", that if you don't listen to others and compare it, you'll probably think this is the only way the play it. I liked the Kissin version from 1997, but once I noticed the mistakes it's hard to ignore, even though the entire piece was really really impressive.

Kid: struggles with a piece but listens very well and takes in advice accurately, also has a good attitude

I was classically trained for 17 years and played competitively. This IS one of the most difficult pieces to play because of the movements of the right hand and its crazy fast speed. This young man is brilliant! He is 13 years old and playing and taking a masterclass with one of the greatest, Lang Lang! Why are people criticizing this young man? How well did you play Liszt at 13? I'm impressed and joyous to see young people embracing the piano and classical music! Plus it took courage to play in front of Lang Lang. I enjoyed the interaction of Lang Lang with the student and how quickly the student absorbed and responded to what Lang Lang instructed him to do. I could absolutely hear the progression of interpreting this great masterpiece. BRAVO!!!

  • @alexlei2235
    @alexlei2235 5 ปีที่แล้ว +60

As an etude, of course, accuracy and precision are important so that you can demonstrate the mastery of the skills the etude requires of you. That being said, I think the people that say the kid made "too many mistakes" or "wasn't ready" to play this piece have not internalized what this event is. This is not a competition. This is not a concert performance. This boy does not play for you, knowing he has refined and polished it to a performance level. He doesn't. He knows he is nowhere near mastery. When you are growing up learning an instrument, you aren't able to fully master all the pieces you play until after you've gained some more experience.
Many people forget that there is a time when pianists are still learning a lot and trying to understand their own body's functions. If any student had a fine music teacher, they should know that pieces that are given to them or they choose should be pieces that as of starting it, are above their level. You must look at this video with a different eye because I honestly feel like it sounds ignorant to say he "isn't ready" to perform this masterpiece. Many teachers don't pay as much attention as to whether or not you can play it with few or many mistakes as much as they care about your musicality. Musicality demonstrates the greatest talent, not technicality. In this kid's development, I think he is at the perfect level to play La Campanella. Performance is irrelevant in this video. The point is is the benefit that his piece has done to the boy. He is at the level to proceed to the next level, in summary, and that next level is La Campanella.
I know it's a joke, but just to clarify, Lang Lang isn't judging the kid like "oh, that's wrong and that's wrong. A lot of things are wrong. I don't know if he was ready for this." Of course Lang Lang notices the mistakes, but a good teacher looks for what the students plays right. I think the boy shows an understanding of dynamics and the delicate nature of La Campanella. Other comments say it's a flawed performance and hold just that against the kid. I say it is a flawed performance only if this is played at a venue for the audience as a legit solo. That is not the perspective you should have when watching this video. I see it as a perfect performance because the kid has reached the stage in his learning where Lang Lang's advice would be most effective: flawed, but ripe for improvement.

He played it well for a 13 year old, although I feel like, especially with classical instruments like the piano, or the violin, there is a level of maturity required, which changes from piece to piece. This is one of those ones that you need to have been playing for quite a while to master. So, he is on the right track! Keep going man!

This I agree. The notes are just notes on a sheet and the music we hear expressed through the pianists fluidity really takes on the personal emotions and comfort level greatly influenced by maturity. This kid did very very well. As he grows emotionally, the notes will be translated to better music and fluidity of motion. When you have a sheet in front of you you can just hit all notes on it but not make good music

Lang struggles w Balikeriev's Islamey mightily playing it stupidly slow @ 104 to the quarter when it clearly is marked 168! Maybe he's better now, but his recording sounds like a slow practice run thru to anyone who really plays it as intended.
Petroushka makes this "The bell" piece seem quite academic.

He's only 13 years old and teachable not hard headed.
The teacher experienced this a lot. He is a great teacher to him.
Franz Liszt was known as the "Titan of piano music" surpassing the Classical and Romantic composers..Many ladies have a crushed on him
    The darling of the crowd.
Kudos to these pianists who devoted their time studying his scores.

The point of a masterclass is to learn and receive critique from a master. So to everyone saying he bit off more than he could chew, maybe he did. But he played extremely well and he played a piece that he could improve on through constructive criticism from a professional. So I for one think he made the right choice.
