If I was Rudeus and I heard Piloman's plan I would have immediately gathered Ghislaine, Ruijerd, and Eris and went over and took control of the Greyrat family to put an end to that shit. Marry Eris and you would have control over both the Notos and Boreas sides of the family. No-one would be messing with you with that crew. You could have tutors come teach you more magic if necessary.

I think he just doesn't like the anime. If you were gonna drop the series, there's so many more moments before this episode that should've done it.
