In today's vlog we finally head back to Volcano Bay, Universal Orlando's water theme park. It was so nice to be back! There were some new updates and we even had some new tips for you guys! We had an awesome day with minimal waits and very low crowd levels. This is a great time to go but the weather is quite unpredictable so keep that in mind when vacation planning. Things can definitely change from year to year as far as the weather goes. We were able to ride everything but we weren't able to take the GoPro on the slides anymore so I think they've definitely settled on the no camera on slides policy which is a bummer but is also understandable. You can however still take them in the rivers and wave pool! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

It's a been really interesting to see all the phases Volcano Bay has gone through since it opened. It shows how a park opens up hoping for the best, only to realize almost weekly what needs changed and adjusted.
When I woke up at 5am it was 62 at 12pm it was 28 and everything was frozen. Gotta love winter in Tennessee. So watching this makes me so happy.
I like seeing tropical weather when an ice storm is falling outside & between 2 and 10 inches are suppose to fall by the morning. It looks awsome. I'm ready to go back.

Even though it's -30 degrees Celsius where I live. It's the videos of them parks and water parks down south that make me keep going with the hope I will be able to visit one day. Enjoy while you are there!

The feels like temp here now is 3 degrees. 40 would feel good but not -40😬
My husband and I stayed in the Volcano Bay view room at Cabana Bay on our honeymoon and it was amazing! We had the PERFECT view of the volcano and it was so relaxing! It was BEAUTIFUL at night! I never got tired of the view and I still long to go back and it’s been 10 months. I didn’t go to the actual park but the view of the room was enough for me! We did enjoy the other Universal parks though! Harry Potter was AMAZING!
The cabana's are great, you get a free fruit platter, you can order food and drinks, and you can get in line for a ride at the cabana FOR ANY RIDE. It's awesome. And the flags ARE for when you want an assistant to come over.
Its pretty snowy here in Ohio. So getting to see a water park makes me smile!

it's a super warm 57 in New England( I am happy about that it was like 16 a few days ago). i must say I enjoy watching your vlogs because it reminds me of winter vacations to Florida with my family. I look forward to future trips. Thanks tim for sharing that Florida sunshine!

For my friends birthday she invited me to come with her to volcano bay. We had a room that had a PERFECT view of volcano bay! I highly reccomend!

yes it is freezing up here in mass. I live near Plymouth and its cold. it was so much colder not that long ago but its still cold. watching this video makes me feel warmer.lol
Hey Tim, Thanks for this. I watch your video before I left and it was a big help. We had a great day. We did do a cabana and it was the best thing ever. Yes, the Flag means when it is up you want an attendant. What is also great about having a cabana you have a TapuTapu station in your cabana so you can see what is busy and what is not. You can check in for a ride at your taputapu. So we didn't need to go each ride to do a taputapu. On top of that we stayed at the Cabana Bay Resort and there is a private entrance for the resort. Its about 100' from one of the towers.
The Volcano bay view from Cabana Bay was awesome! We stayed there the week before Christmas and was offered a room upgrade for $8 more per day. Totally worth it!

That looked awesome. We just got annual passes, might have to use a day at the bay as a reward or the boys getting good grades!! But if you are from their school and reading this, they were terribly sick and unable to make it to school that day....

We was at volcano bay a couple of weeks ago and rented a 6 person cabana, was lovely with a member of staff that looks after you bringing food/drink and towels! Very nice 😁 you lift the flag to get their attention if you'd like to order food towels etc.
on holiday last week in orlando was in volcano bay the same day u vlogged there .myself and my daughter saw you but we werent sure it was you as u didnt have your signature moustache☺we had a ball there and we love watching all your park adventures it really helped us when we arrived .thanks again from ireland .
I'm a West Coaster obsessed with Volcano Bay. Thanks, Tim for the update! I'm interested in the operational changes and developments as the park settles into itself. It's a lot of fun to track these changes on a mini virtual vacation.
I'm interested to see how the park handles the summer crowds after a whole year of crowds.

Volcano Bay is by far the best water park I've ever been to. The only reason I skipped out on most of it is because if I go on the rides, I would spend more time in line than actually on rides. And yes, I had the express pass when I went and I'm definitely a brat 😂
The cabana experience was amazing and the room at cabana bay beach resort tower was great ...we went from 8:00am - 8:30pm last August having the cabana was luxurious but made it so fun the food was great ate all three meals and the kiosk inside your cabana takes off 15 to 10 minutes of each wait time ... 😊

Here’s a locker $ tip! They have some smaller personal size lockers that are big enough for a couple of towels and personal items in the back of the locker areas facing toward the back walls. You won’t see them unless you walk around to that far side, but they will save you a few $ if you don’t need much space. 👍

I agree with you about the photography! One thing that always annoys me with Universal is their picture/filming policy. I love taking pictures on rides (of course no flash) But they told us you couldn't take any pictures including on the Dr Seuss train. I could see on rides where things could fly off the ride, but I just thought that was strange. Once again it's free advertising.
Yea, I understand it because they don't want to have to differentiate between what rides you can and can't film on. Even the slow rides can have lost cameras. One time I lost my camera while on the Carousel!
I must say I really do love this channel because is reminds me when I went there on holiday with my family WITH THE SUN (I live in England)

Hi Tim!! I both stayed in the volcano bay view hotel and the cabana it’s awesome!!! They serve you food and treats and you can sign up for rides on your tapu tapu in the cabana!! I recommend it . Love your videos Tim!!👍🏻

Hi there. Yes Tim the flags on the cabanas are there for you to signal to the waiters that you want to order food and drinks. You just put them up to signal them and they come over (or at least they should come over but we tried it for hours and no one came!) X
Hi Tim. Please do some video on what you can eat at the parks. I'm planning to spend vacations in Orlando next may and in the videos it's all about the atractions and entertainment but you spend all day at the park, any of them, and you have to eat, have lunch and even dinner. Hi Tim, when we went to Volcano bay we got a cabana! Let’s just say it’s amazing!! They have lockers and your on tapu tapu station! You can also order food from your cabana too!!

Just came back from Florida, and usually I’m not a big fan of water parks but had a great time at volcano bay. The water coaster is seriously fun!
But we spent most of the day laughing our heads off in the fearless river. I’ve just checked and it looks like it used to have rubber rings instead of the life jackets? Man it’s like 100% more fun with the life jacket on! Especially when you get to the bend where the random waves come out
That was the first thing i noticed ! Omg the tapu tapu actually stays on !!! Lol love that place! Went right before summer started and it was so empty we got to ride it all

The underwater stereo bubbles are really neat!
I visited this park on December 31st, it was chilly (like 18º) but the water was comfortably warm, my favorite ride was krakatau, the waiting time was 40 minutes. And also rode the big drop at the top of the volcano (the red one), I wish I could have ridden one of the other ones I see they have curves, the red one was very strong and couldn’t breathe when I wanted to and water entered thru my nose. Overall is a great and fun water park.
I loved having the life vests on the river. Me and my boyfriend spent most of the time in the water park floating in the river over and over lol

Hello from England.........Just found your channel, love it, love how explanatory you are and how long your video's are, so much information and you have so much knowledge of stuff I wouldn't even notice.
I forgot how much I liked the theme week of waterparks you did. Plan another theme week! Do something like a week of local things not in parks, or how to handle ride sharing with a kid so you trade off, or maybe local eats that are privately owned by folks and not in park property. Like a week of reasons to maybe plan a day to explore outside the parks to perk up other business. Maybe I'll just email you this lol.

Tim, we stayed in one of the tower rooms overlooking water park this past spring. Absolutely fantastic night views and the facility itself is amazing. There is an entrance from the hotel into the waterpark which is very convenient. Thanks for the great vlog.

The flag on the cabana is to let the waiter/waitress know you want to order food or drinks.
The cabanas are fun, comes with Breakfast, hand sanitizer, water bottles, towels, locker, and a fridge.
As well as you can tap into any ride from it.
I've been with a group that rented it twice. It is a good deal if everyone pitches in.
Oh and an add on about the photo situation. Universal uses a third party photo cilent & Disney doesn't. So maybe that answers a few things.
We were there yesterday too! I’m currently staying in a volcano side room at Cabana bay and it’s incredible! I’ve filmed and taken so many photos of the view, cannot stop looking at it! 10 night stay at Cabana then off to Old key west resort!

You’re absolutely right about Kala & Tai Nui, the green one is much faster. I also rode the blue one first the very first time I visited the park and I thought it wasn’t so bad but then I rode the green one and it was lightning fast
