Hi Sam, avid follower here and newbie to the channel. Your dress was adorable and the bag with the label was great, the jazzed up underskirt was a lovely touch and has inspired me to do similar to a dress I have in mind. My dream would be to work in a fabric/sewing shop or one day own my own shop I cannot resist fabric or any crafty things. I just wish I could be as good as you and others at sewing. It takes me ages to perfect my makes and get it right in the first place! I will keep persevering though. All the best Ella x

What a gorgeous dress and matching bag! I love your toaster sweater! I made a very summery Sew different patterns Fleetwood frock. It has fantastic pockets. I have been toying with the idea of a corduroy version with a Frayer underneath for Autumn/ Winter wear. I’d also like the colour block dress but I don’t have the pattern yet… Hope you are free of the lingering flu symptoms soon 😍❤️
Fleetwood frock is one of the ones they sent me, I was thinking of a heavier weight with a top underneath…. Great minds x Was it a fairly quick make? I’m very short on time. Hope you are feeling tip top now x
@@SewLetsSparkleWithSam I mad3 it a while ago Sam, I’m sure it was an easy sew, the pockets had me scratching my head, They are kind of built into the skirt panel. I’d say the instructions are pretty decent…. Nice I decided to read them, I was fine. Id like to make it again in a single colour needlecord or a lovely dark tartan with DM boots and an attitude 🤣🤣🤣
Morning Sam from here is Oz. Been away discovering the world and just now doing a deep dive catch up on what my favourite vloggers have been up to! Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling poorly, so thanks for coming on showing us your lovely makes. I am in love with your dressmakers ball dress. I saw it heard the phrase Merchant and Mills, stopped the video and rushed over to their web site but sadly no luck 😢. So I will just admire your gorgeous dress! Loved all your makes and have some serious SH7envy happening 😅 I will also be checking out emporia patterns…. Poor Mr Hubbikins is already getting that grey tinge back in his skin colour as he listens to me talk about patterns and fabric! The time away was a a little reprieve for him though of course I did find fabric stores and came home with yummy fabric from Croatia , Montenegro and Albania! Continue to take it easy and recover and see you next vlog.
