You have already begun abusing this animal by taking her from her mother. You cannot substitute for all the benefits of being reared, nursed weaned and socialized by her actual mother. She would still be nursing at this age, and the formula you put in her bottle does not contain all the important autoimmune hormonal and other factors that her actual mother's milk would have. Hopefully we can check back in a year, then two, then five, then ten, then thirty years with you too see how this animals life progresses!

You are without a doubt going to regret this decision in 8 months or so. Rhesus Macaques are the most aggressive out of the Macaque breeds. They seem fine when they're babies but just wait until it starts to gain the troop mentality and tries to attack every person that comes near you or in your house. She will without a doubt start biting hard by 5-6 months and good luck breaking that habit. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, I'm just letting you know what to be ready for as she grows. The majority of Macaque owners give them up to sanctuaries by the time they hit a year to a year and a half old because they become way too much to handle unless you're willing to aggressively discipline them as they grow from around how old she is now. That's the only way to keep them tame and behaved as they become older juveniles. They have to understand you're the Alpha of the troop and in the wild if you watch Macaque videos the adults, even their Mothers, are very aggressive when disciplining them. It's in their DNA to learn that way, they don't respond to human commands very well.
Honestly I am telling you in the friendliest way to save you a nightmare. You don’t want one of these. They are are rated The hardest of primates to raise…they become very aggressive once they hit adolescence and even more at sexual maturity. These are Rhesus Macaques and do not adapt well. Not to mention it’s very easy for them to psychologically break early on because most humans can’t deliver what they need (they need to cling to MOM aka You non stop for at least a year). When they lose their minds it’s horrific and sad…catatonic state, biting themselves, rocking back and forth in sheer agony , floating leg syndrome etc…not pretty . they need to remain wild.

My Father-in-law had a rhesus macaque..named Gina..when she got up adult she hated my Mother-in-law..she saw him as her mate..she once attacked my Mother-in-law and bit her in the top of her head! She got severely punished and was never allowed to come in again..she also hated dogs..my Father-in-law had a big red GSD he would after her and she would run up the tree she was tethered to..but one day her chain got caught and he got her and killed her..but he looked like he'd been in a fight..she didn't go down easy..

I myself would never purchase a baby monkey because I would not be able to commit my life and fullfil what a monkey needs for years to come. It warms my heart when I see a pet be loved and cared for. It doesn't matter what kind of a pet, it could be a cat, dog, snake or even a kangaroo. You missed the point of my comment as I enjoyed seeing an animal being totally loved. It's not my job to judge anyone for how they obtained or what they paid their pet.

@@debbylee6329 I will state it again as it is not a view point but fact PRIMATES ARE NOT PETS. All the information is out there, they are not able to be domesticated but controlled into submission and their spirits broken. They are NOT like cats and dogs, taking them from their mothers is the very first act of abuse. This is not "loving" an animal but having something just because you want it no matter what it does to the poor animal. Is this the same women who had the monkey man Joshua channel? Is this the Jazzy she got from a zoo as a new born because " she needed me." I still want to know what zoo gives a newborn primate to a private citizen? If she is these animals were not put on earth to fill some need that she has and she should look for help elsewhere.

I’m asking you to please take down an older video that was giving advice to SAKOR!!! Please read the comments on his page! These monkeys or abuse beaten and starved to perform. Just take a look at how these monkeys react and you will realize that he is actually an abuser to these precious animals.
