A year and a half ago, my father had a tumor in his cerebellum and because of that, he died. I hope that medicine will develop further so that people do not lose their loved ones. We hope to God that

ML Models are perfectly suited to finding patterns and predicting outcomes. This is some of the most exciting studies of our time. Science fiction is becoming science fact. Great vid.

How awesome would it be to cure cancer for real! Will big pharma let it happen is the question!?

AI is not magic, what ever therapies AI comes up with will be manufactured and sold by pharma big or otherwise.

They should be the ones funding it! It's hard to believe that AI, far more advanced than the human brain, CANNOT find a cure. I believe it will by 2035. If humans will let it.

Get familiar with python, and torch. This is the backbone of large language models we're currently using for AI. You would want to learn this along side Computational medicine, which is a field that takes several years to learn enough about to really influence. However, going the python and torch road first will allow you to automate the process. After enough time our LLM's will be able to have commands like : Code me a model of the human pancrease with "insert dna genome", simulate the enviroment and the process needed to be able to allow the immune system target these cancer cells. Honestly the way things are progressing it might even be next year, we went from basic language and understanding at the beginning of this year and were ending with image generation that uses descriptions of an a picture to know what were trying to generate and then produce the picture that is indistinguishable from a real photograph. Next year? We can only go up and the field is rapidly evolving faster than i've ever seen any field grow in my lifetime.

AI will not cure cancer. But AI is a tool that will help scientists and doctors to find and apply new and better treatments to cure cancer.

Your assuming that our understanding of the biology and science of human beings is advanced enough to even conceptualize what would be necessary to make alterations never thought imaginable. We already struggle to keep up with the logic of our LLM's right now, give it a year form now and it will start being able to iterate on itself in ways was have no idea as to how it's doing it.

I'm sorry are you an AI scientist? AI is growing smarter exponentially. Here's what exponential looks: If AI is X smart today and get 10x smarter every year (GPT 4 is 10x smarter than GPT 3.5): X 10X 100X 1000X 10000X 100000X 10000000X .... GPT 4's intelligence level is equal to an IQ of 155. Imagine 1 million times an IQ of 155. AI will cure all disease as we know it within the next 10-15 years. wait and see for yourself

@@SmashachuDon't be so sure. Machine learning and AI are concepts that have been around for decades, but have only become very popular in the last five years or so. AI will be refined and more effective in the coming years, but it will not be creative enough to come up with breakthroughs in general science, including the medical field. I wish there was a cure coming very soon, but humans have been aware and tried to cure cancer for more than a thousand years and it will take many decades, maybe even longer to make it easy to treat or cure. AI will help us make small steps towards progress in areas such as early detection and diagnosis. But not a cure, at least not in the next 50 years.

@@TrajceZMKD Do your research. AI has been around for decades, it's nothing new, it's just fine tuned machine learning. AI isn't creative, it can't invent anything, it's just a tool used to help us handle data and information in a different way. It might help us do more work more effectively, it can improve upon things like more accurate weather forecasts and recognize patterns, but it's not a silver bullet that will explain to us something we don't already know.
