    This was my first real car - I had the arctic blue version and it was a 2010 rather than a 2009 (but really, there aren't that many differences). Bought it off my dad in 2015, my junior year of high school. Ended up putting almost 165,000 miles on it. It ran pretty much without issue for almost 8 years until March of this year when the mass air flow sensor ended up crapping itself and rendering the car undrivable. Got it fixed, and then it ended up happening again in July and then again two weeks ago ... along with inspection, I would've needed new front brakes, two new tires, and a new ball bearing, which would've ended up costing a little north of $1,000.
    Decided that it had finally run its course and sadly said goodbye to it last week and traded it in towards a brand-new 2023 Hyundai Venue. Gonna miss my little Versa!

    This is a really fast and underrated car. It was underrated from the factory to keep insurance rates down. This is a legit 12 second car in the 1/4.

    Great in-depth review. On a side note, these came with the CVT transmissions in the SL trim package only. S just had the 4spd auto in this certain Versa you reviewed. There was also a manual option. Anyone would be better off avoiding the cvt model.

    These are actually very decent cars. My mom & I rented one years ago when we went on a four hour road trip from Nevada to Oregon. I remember the ride & the seats were comfortable like a larger car, same with the quietness & overall refinement. Very good interior quality as well & much better than the second gen Versa. My only complaint was the lack of power which is the norm in this class. Very impressive cars overall as this was one of the better cars I drove back in the day.

    I wanted to get a Versa as a 2nd car but the top of the line version didn’t come with a manual. A turbo manual would have been super fun.

    I have a 6 speed manual with a cold air intake and it really picks up and goes. 0-60 in a matter of seconds.

    This is a 4 AT Versa, because the gear knob have 2nd and 1st gear can choose

    I own a 2011 Nissan Versa Hatch and it only has about 27,000 miles on the clock. we live in a small town so I only put about 2k miles a year on average.

      Take them out and look at them or replace them, you’ll find out quickly enough. If it’s the dash lights see if you can find the fuse related to them.

    So, my hatchback trunk won't open. I had it fixed a few times, but after a while, it goes back to the same problem. Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

    We have two of these. Tiida. Versa. Whatever.
    One is a 1.8 CVT MR18DE - 140 bhp on tap.
    In sport mode, it goes mental.
    226000 on the clock, no rust, regular servicing and is faster than our 2.0 Laser XRi. That's "Racing green", but not fun. Rough riding, shit brakes, horrid gear-shift. That's supposedly a sport hatch, and only done 50000. 5-speed manual, and it's a pig. Screams it's guts out at 65 mph in 5th. Was sold in Australia as the Laser SR2, and is a renowned gas-hog.
    The 1.5 Tiida/Versa we have has only done 70000, and is nicer to drive, but I think, as has been mentioned, the older one needs a new set of engine mounts, because it vibrates at the lights if sitting in Drive.
    The 1.5 engine is apparently the result of a collaboration between Nissan, Renault and Mercedes. Sounds like a recipe for disaster, but it's really pleasant. HR15DE. 115 odd bhp.
    The 1.8 is a rapid beast. TBH, the 1.5 is no slouch, but they are both JDMs, so maybe that makes a difference. Both have Sport mode, and they go like the bats of hell. SO GOOD ON FUEL CONSUMPTION!!!
    I hardly ever drive the 1.5, as it's hers, and she loves it. I can see why.
    Beats the shit out of the 2.4 PT Cruiser, and our old red Laser Liata 1.8, and the Holden Astra 1.8.
    Not as fast as the Overland, but way cheaper to run...
    Only bummer is no cruise control on either Nissan, but the ones on the Chrysler and the Overland both go apeshit on hills, dropping down 2 or 3 gears and accelerating wildly.
    Not conducive to driving pleasure or fuel economy, and frankly very irritating.
    Nissans are great.
    Buy one. (But not a Juke - too ugly).

    Versas have bad transmissions especially the CVT is horrible

  • @denizenofclownworld4853
    @denizenofclownworld4853 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    Not a CVT. CVT's don't shift. That is clearly shifting.

    • @virginityrocks6280

      So here’s the thing that Nissan did actually 6 months after making the cvt mandatory, people complained that their car wouldn’t shift even though it’s not supposed to shift, so they designed a program that would flash the vehicle if a customer made a complaint, what it did was give it a misfire at certain speeds to simulate a shifting sound 😂

    • @denizenofclownworld4853
      @denizenofclownworld4853 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The mechanical servos have to be in place in order to make that happen. You can't just 'program it in'. Tell us you don't know what you're talking about without telling us you don't know what you're talking about.
      If you actually knew what you were talking about, you could simply go to 5:07 and see that it's the conventional automatic. The Nissan CVT's have PRNDL, the conventional autos have PRND21. Now, go be "smart'" somewhere else. ;)@@virginityrocks6280
