On this episode of Grow, we're traveling three hours south of Atlanta to White Oak Pastures, a sixth-generation family farm that is famous for environmental stewardship and animal welfare. Herdsman and Land Steward Will Harris takes us on a jeep tour of the farm and shows us holistic land management practices that have caught the attention of environmentalists and foodies around the world.

Watching videos on white oak pastures just fills my soul. Supporting farmers that care about soil is my antidote to chaos.

How can any farmer not see the wonder of this amazing system. I have been eating organic most of my life as fortunately I am a Brit and we have Prince Charles organic products, the Soil Association and many others. I am now in the US and lucky enough to have a local Whole Foods. I watched this video with absolute joy - a bit of paradise in an unfeeling world. As I lean to the Buddhist philosophy that all life is precious I consider this man to have achieved enlightenment and a oneness with nature that far too few people achieve. I really have to visit Georgia. As for his neighbours disregard - their loss. He will out live them😊👍

Such incredibly important work. It’s time we shift the paradigm that industrialized agriculture is better. It was arguably warranted for a time. That time has passed.

Ooh, he even drives a manual Wrangler. Just when I thought White Oak Pastures couldn't get any better...

You render the fat for candles? That is truly a waste.
