Glad you’re enjoying them man, it’s a lot of gathering info, but also a good outlet to get all this random information out of my mind, and into a video haha.
That 'Orange Pie' device looks to have the d-pad, thumbsticks and buttons all in the right places. With the touchpads being the least used things in games relegated to the bottom. Looks good, they need to be sure the d-pad passes the Contra test, and that it's good for fighting games, quarter circle, half circle and double tapping / dashing inputs. Hall-whatever magnetic thumbsticks and shoulder buttons are a must so you dont have to open the system to repair it, and there needs to be at least 4 paddles on the back. Without the 4 paddles on the back, it's the same exact controller as a PS2, 23 year old input standards.
PSA: AFMF typically disables itself when "fast motion" is detected on screen; it was actually originally designed to go hand-in-hand (pun intended) with Radeon Boost.
tbh it's a bad move to release an ALLY 2, the performance gain will be insignificant if any. Valve is right again... wait for a decent gain until a second gen.
I just want to say that 16 gigs of ram is very small bcz some games uses more vram so we ran short on both and ram and vram so atleast 32 gigs needed and apu should be atleast 45 watts like claw. Thats from my side
It has been a little hit or miss. Currently they seem to be responsive from what I've heard, there was a time where it was a little rough for 3 months or so.
As someone who has been following windows handhelds since the first GPD win, the jump to AMD was the most significant boost forward in these handhelds for me... Not just due to performance but compatibility... I haven't had to tweak more than like 3 games since the 3 new handhelds I've had with amd...Intel was constant, especially for new games.. I'm sure the performance on these new Intel handhelds like the claw will be fine...but I'm betting now that compatibility will be a pain and the Intel devices are gonna be more for the tinkerers and less for mass market.
Was it an official announcement from msi that or it was just reporting from the verge? Because msi previously told verge that they consider it to be a VRR display if you can toggle between fixed 48hz and fixed 120hz. So I'm still a bit skeptical. If what you say it's true it would be awesome for the handheld market since VRR would become kinda the norm.
Praying you can trade the og ally in for a discount. Would love to use the SD card slot for extra storage i haven't touched the SD slot due to people having the thermal stress issues.
A possible PS4-capable handheld is intriguing, though I can't help but expect some irritating decisions by Sony that will make me not want it. Like putting backwards compatibility behind a paywall, or wanting people to buy their proprietary earbuds. I'd be out for sure if the handheld is launched as it's own ecosystem, to where I couldn't play all the PS4 digital games I own.
The decision to not include Bluetooth in the ps portal was the correct one. As it's designed for remote streaming only, Bluetooth would negatively impact performance.
Nice comprehensive video 👍 I have to say I'm quite curious about the Pi Neo, I'd like to switch to a Linux based handheld so I'm looking out for any news in that regard. Probably won't go that way as the 7840U is not a great step forward compared to my OXP2, so I guess I'll still wait until a Deck 2. But I'm interested in the Pi nontheless. On a personal note: leaked BIOS is like the bumbest thing I've ever heard...good call pointing this out for people to stay alert. Cannot believe someone is willing to leak a beta software to gain like 5 seconds of "fame" on the internet... 😑

No problem for the video, I think its always best to get the software from the company, but more importantly bios updates should be official if passing on to the public. If it's not, then a lot of disclaimers need to be present so people know what they are getting into. In then legion Go situation, the beta testing group is limited to find issues quickly, so having random people have issues in forums and social groups isn't easy for the company to track, plus a lot of folks don't identify that they are on a beta version so it makes it appear that the stable release also has an issue even if it does not.
@okestgamer your absolutely correct that's why I don't pay attention what most of these videos say or do when they talk about beta or download this software from this other website or whatever the case may be I rather just hold it off and wait for a stable update to come out for anything whether it's bios or anything else other than that 👍😎✌️
@@melloman999 that would be nice but I wouldn't expect to see anything significantly bigger crammed in there. Valve had to redesign the entire deck internals and go with an APU built on a smaller nm process just to fit a battery with like 7wh more in the shell.
