How did you achieve making missions suitable for all skill levels? The only thing I can think of is adjustable AI skill level. Very curious. Can you elaborate?
Hi Daniel,
We have tried to achieve this by making our missions easy to play. Flying modern aircraft in combat is obviously complex so we’ve aimed to make it as easy and enjoyable as possible.
We want new DCS players to be able to use this campaign to get in some nice flying hours and get familiar with all of the systems as well as the overall platform itself.
The campaign starts easy and simple and gradually gets more complex as it evolves. You start with simple tasks like low level formation, navigation, learning radio menu, working with wingman and other air and ground units.
You will use simple weapons like guns, smoke bombs, rockets, unguided munitions. However later missions require guided weapons and air to air refuelling, missions. Even then we use steady tanker speeds and straight flight paths to help players refuel easier. It's all about helping you to get some track time and experience under your belt.
Any player will be able to play through each mission and should be able to complete it. However after many years we ourselves still get shot down too! You will be down in the dust with the devils and those guns hurt!
All of this said we’ve tried to make the experience immersive so that you feel like you are flying as part of a team/coalition. It's a great way to spend an hour or two!
Each mission is unique offering a new set of challenges and scenarios utilising a range of bases and locations.
We have strived to make the missions highly repayable as think that you will love them and go back to them again and again.
We will continue to improve missions with player feedback.
Campaign features:
Hot start aircraft
Simple mission briefs plus kneeboards/maps
Guided flying routes with escorts
On screen prompts to help aid players
Full list of campaign features on the ED page, link in video description
Many thanks
LG
@@lookingglass-dcs "We have tried to achieve this by making our missions easy to play"...so its for beginners.....not all player levels. For those of us that are not beginners , we don't want to learn about the basics....
@@JSRJS Then it sounds like you'll have to play a different campaign.
@@Thesilverninja Agreed...should not be advertised for all player types...instead just be honest and state its "made for beginners" which is fine.
@@JSRJS So don't purchase the campaign then, Maverick. No one cares about your skill level.
Probably one of the best campaign trailers I've seen - truly raises my interest level!
Congrats on the release! Minor detail for some, but I really love your radio effects. So realistic!
Thanks R! Took so much work to get those right we had to redo every mission many times!
man! crazy to see this i deployedto this on my sons bday
Love the subtle camera shake in alot of the scenes!
The camera shake is a DCS effect!
Thank you so much for this. I love this community and I'm so happy to be part of it. I just bought this and I CAN'T WAIT to play it over the Easter break :)
Yes you are right, fantastic community. Great to have you onboard Omar - Happy Days
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I've never gotten into the DCS campaigns simply because (as far as I know) of their fiction. Couldn't get too attached to anything going on. But I'm only 2 missions into this and already absolutely love it. Very well done. The real world setting with Daesh and the like, very immersive. Do more :)
Hey Gundawg, thanks, enjoy
looks awesome!!
Thanks Barry
Can we change weapon load outs or will it screw with the mission. The reason I ask is, mission 2 has a ton of triple A and mavericks would be much better suited than the rockeyes we are given.
Yes maybe, may affect some voice triggers (BDA) though
i love seeing the tornado in the trailer
tornado module when?
RAF Tornados (Ai) have been in the sim for years and feature frequently in our missions
might be my first DCS Campaign I actually pick up
Do it, you wont be dissapointed
Looks great, just bought it!
Hope you enjoy it! Thanks HG!
Any plans for a Mudhen version when that releases?
Not as yet. Big plane, Big targets sets
SOLD! I am kind of a "DCS Collector" and the Hornet isn't one of the planes I'm super-familiar with. I wanted a campaign that would help refamiliarize me with the aircraft without swamping me in the first mission. Sounds like this is what I'm looking for!
Certainly will give you some great missions to get used to the beast. Great aircraft and so versatile.
When you do all this in your L39ZA already ;)
L39ZA is a really good module!
nice work. where can I find kneeboard pdf ?
Use as kneeboard in game. Email us if you require full PDF. See about section of channel

Hi, I was playing mission 3 and I wanted to improve my score for mission 1. I played it, I got a better score, but the scores for 2 and 3 were deleted.
Hi,
Maybe a DCS issue. PLease use forum to log bugs and receive supprt from community who may be able to offer more help on this one
forum.dcs.world/forum/1150-dcs-fa-18c-inherent-resolve/
ey one question about it, is there any point in the campaign were you have to take off from or land on the carrier?
@@Tundra.77 no, these are land based misisons
Any way I can switch from F18 to my beloved goto F16? 🤔
Afraid it wont work like that because of triggers/weapons/range but you could try I guess.
That's fine, but are you going to fix the flight model and landing gear mechanics?
We are campaign developers so we cant fix core DCS issues. Not heard anyone complain about flight model of Hornet or landing gear issues? As ever many features in the SIM and the module, get attention and updates for years just like the real life counter parts, complex stuff
(Spoiler alert) Hi Ive finished several chapters and I think this compaign still has lots of space of improvements. There really isn't that much of immersion in the chapters that I have already played. The briefing is really not detailed and too simple. And there isn't much combat-nessecery dialogue in this compagin compared to the others that i have played. The tasks and loadouts are also far from realistic. For the chapters I have played, most of the air to ground weapons that I have used are non precision weapons. There hasn't been serious CAS procedures, nor target coordinates. The details are also seriously missing. In one of the chapter I played, the briefing says Texaco 11 will be an KC130 but it's actually a KC135 in the gameplay. Syrians also dont have Ka 50. Overall, it really needs improvements
Thanks for the constructive critisim. Will look into these points and log them for review
Thanks for this. I almost decided to buy this....but when I heard its only for beginners and the missions are unrealistic with no/wrong info...I'm holding off
@@JSRJS no prob. im doing the persian lion compaign rn and it's pretty good.
I just played the first mission and it was very nice. Just my first thoughts that I am missing some things. I would like to know my bingo fuel setting for aborting in time for getting back. The liveries are just default liveries for my own jet and the parked F16s for example. The F16s could be Turkish jets and I would like to know a bit more background about my squadron. Is it a Navy or Marine squadron. A bit more story would be fine.
Looking forward to the next missions.
Great feedback thanks NM
Feedback from the second Mission. Please don't force disable labels. I play with an old Oculus rift and it's hard to see targets without labels. Especially a beginner campaign should allow labels.
@@NM4500 Thanks for the feedback. Will fix this in the next update
Anyone having trouble with mission VBIEDs??? No matter what I do I get a failed mission even when I have repelled the first attack at FOB Orange. HELP!!!! lol
Hi, several bugs are affecting missions. See here for campaign bugs/fixes/updates

Thanks!!! The campaign is great and well put together!!!@@lookingglass-dcs
I wish this was for the F-16. I haven't bought any modern full fidelity planes jet, but I just can't stand the cockpit of the F-18
Fight ISIS mission: Take F18 Hornet ($30.000 per flight hour) and fire AGM65 Mavericks (From $17.000 to $110.000 depending on version) to destroy 20 years old Toyota Hilux with welded machine gun and old advertisement “Joe plumber & Son”.
If it aint broke
The missiles are paid for whether they're used or not. Giving pilots live fire opportunities is priceless.
FBHO
dumbass
Obama was a great president. I love that he's in the trailer along with VMFAT-101. It's awesome. Really.
Obama armed ISIS (via Turkey) and had a sortie rate about 1 / day. It was the following president (that everyone loves to hate) who actually took ISIS apart. But don't let history get in the way of your New World Order narrative :)
@@staubsauger2305 bro learned history behind a denny's
@@skulll7509 bruh, you don't know what Obama and Secretary of State Clinton did, do you ? look it up. The Benghazi mess was all about transferring weapons to Al Qaeda/ISIS via Turkey. President 45 stopped that and cleaned it up - saving a lot of middle-eastern nations from turning into Afghanistans. You won't know this if you think cable tv was telling you the whole story.
😂😂😂 and other jokes you can tell yourself
@@MadDogGaming sorry your boy lost
I wonder who created ISIS😂. What a psyop. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.
Fun fact, Bashar Al-Assad released extremists from prison prior to this.
You will need both hands and some brains to play this campaign
war thunder is free
and also shit unless you enjoy arcade flight games then its pretty decent
Yeah and it requires hundreds of hours of grinding to get to the late tiers, only to have to wait literally a week for repair times.
Have fun with that.
Free to exchange your wallet for premiums
Thats true, DCS is also free and has lots of sales and free to play options too. War Thunder seems like a great stepping stone to DCS
@@lookingglass-dcs nice work not feeding the troll. :)
