    Tip here. To remove sanding dust a microfiber dusting cloth works great.
    Great project and the video is well done too. Looking forward to more.

    Your idea and instruction are great.i will be subscribing to your channel. I would like some closer shots though. It was hard to see some detail on your work although you explanations are top quality. Thanks for sharing.

    Very cool. If only I had power tools and wasn't so clumsy. (I'd probably cut my fingers off. x.x) This shelf looks awesome.

      That's true! What would you recommend to put on it? I'm guessing not like, heavy things like books? XD Or breakables?

    How do you know.where to put the hooks? I know that they would have to screw into a sturdy piece of wood to be able to support any additional weight, but how do you judge the actual placement of the hooks?

    Pine is a very soft wood. Never make shelving out of pine. Not if you want it to last. It'll scratch, dent, warp, etc. Hence why almost all good quality furniture is made of oak. Use anything but pine.

    this is ridiculous nobody has those tools or need them if they aren't carpenters

    • @eirenmist2301
      @eirenmist2301 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Actually the nice guys at my local Home Depot or Lowes will cut anything I buy to the sizes I need. Just have to go at a time when it's not crowded.

      aqua fina Actually, I have all of these tools and I'm not a carpenter. 😆 I just love tools, they are so fun...and not the little pink tools marketed for women...the big power tools! Hubby has to watch me when we are in home depot. I will be walking around going "ooooh I want that and that and that"...lol 😂

    This does not look easy to me. Why does everyone here think so?

    • @RajashreeGhoshdiya
      @RajashreeGhoshdiya 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pam H Well, if you have access to the right tools, it's not that hard. Just a lot detailed than your average craft project.

    • @gimmedatstick

      As the daughter of a carpenter, it does look easy....much easier than some of the projects I helped my Dad do when I was a preteen...

      Thanks everyone. Maybe some day I'll do this. I like to have things I made myself in my house (watercolors, crafts, etc.). I keep thinking of getting a very small book case with glass in the front so I don't have to dust books so often. I wonder if that would be hard to make.
