Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Irving Best Pound Cake
3 sticks salted butter at room temperature
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
7 eggs at room temperature
2 1/2 cups cake flour
3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 drawer teaspoons vanilla extract

Hey Fridai 👋🏽, I've been watching different TH-camrs make this cake, and I must say that some have come out looking delicious and moist. Some looked kind of dense and moist, almost like it was compact. But, I must say yours and a few others I've seen have sealed the deal for me. I'm going to make this cake soon. Who is the maker of the cake pan you used?
It is the Nordic Ware 18 cup Angel food pan.
What kind of flour did you use, cake flour or all purpose flour?
I used cake flour.
Where is the baking powder/soada and salt in this recipe?
Hello. As I stated in the video I followed the recipe as is. This isn’t my recipe so I can’t answer that question, unfortunately. Thanks so much for tuning in though. 🥰
There isn’t any in the original recipe.
You added 2 tsp each of flavorings, the receeipe calls for one each.
You are correct, I did. I have seen recipe cards that that show 1 tsp and some that show 2 tsps. When I edited the video I used a screenshot of a card that shows 1 tsp. Which one is the right one, idk. What I can tell you is it won’t make much difference in the taste of the cake, so should you decide to make the cake you can go with whatever feels best to you.
