10^x = 1000/99
x = log (1000/99) (base 10)
x = 3 - log 99 (base 10)

x10 throughout. =>100.10^x-10^x=1000
99.10^x=1000
10^x=1000/99
Take logs to base 10 (easiest)
x=log1000/99
Why is this tricky?
