Here is How to Prevent Hair Breakage: Tip # 1: Keep your hair moisturized: One of the main reasons your hair is breaking off could be that you aren’t applying enough moisture to your hair. It’s especially important to heed this rule if your hair is curly because it’s prone to becoming brittle and breaking off. Take time to pamper your hair! Tip # 2: Use a daily split end sealer. Be sure to use a nourishing leave-in conditioner that helps smooth and seal split ends right after you detangle and as a curl refresher in between washes. Tip # 3: When wash day comes around, try putting your hair into jumbo braids and then shampooing to cut down on tangles, which can also lead to breakage.
My hair is around 10inches now and i still cant do "jumbo braids". Its like when i braid i cant reach my scalp no matter how loosely i do it... not sure if my hair is just too short
And don't forget that if you do the baggy method everyday for quite a while, like a week or 3 days, your hair will have a mildew smell to it so be careful on that. Spread it out.
I like doing the green house effect periodically which is similar to the baggy method. I lightly spritz my hair and cover my entire head with a plastic cap.
Jenny Lee If you don’t add any liquid, I call that a dry ghe. I like doing that as well because I don’t like my hair/scalp being too damp, especially overnight
Looking at your hair, you naturally are blessed with hair and you don't really need to do much to make it grow and healthy. I have done everything one can do and my hair clearly is healthy but doesn't grow much.
I watched Megz’s video as well and did the baggy method for the first time two nights ago and my hair was so soft the next day. Will try to do two-three times a week 🧡
Just did it today and yes the TH-camr you mentioned, was the exact video I saw and the first one, whom I ever seen do a baggy method for the ends. SO CLEVER ISNT IT👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽☺️ I n le my hair will thank me soooo much! God bless you hair Amber, striving like always👏🏽🥰
Hi sis I do this and if I want a quick moisture boost I sit under my electric heat cap for one hour. The results are simply amazing. Thank you for posting. I love your content. 💛
I used to do something like this with my kids’ hair, and sometimes mine, only we didn’t bag up the ends…my wash day was yesterday, so I’ll have to try this out the way you did tomorrow!
I started my natural hair journey in 2018 had a couple of set backs and to say the least ... You have been my inspiration since day one. Your tips are beginner friendly and I love your vibe. Your new intro is bomb. I just 😊 love it. You're gorgeous with your crown and stay lit🔥 Thank you for this tip and hope to try it out soon💯👑
i love u amberrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ur natural hair routines inspired me to take care of my hair. a few months ago i did a big chop well it was a little chop coz my ends were relaxed while my natural hair was growing out so i decided to go natural and my hair grew so fast i coulndt believe it so im going natural forever!!!! thank u sooo much i watch ur videos on how can to take care of my hair and try new products and brushes xoxoxoxoxo ~Christelle
If you're worried about moisture overload and your hair is already moisturized you could just do a split end cream or something and for everyday purposes just water and oil just protect the ends
Thank you for this tip. I have a section of hair that is more dry than the rest of my hair. I used this a few times since I saw it and it worked like a charm.
I got mine from virtuous creations but I believe they are handmade so the shipping take over a week or at least it did when I ordered…no I’m not affiliated I just saw another TH-camr mention it and ordered
whenever i dont feel like doing my hair right after i wash it i put my leave in on and a bag over my whole head and yeah it does feel really good the next day esp if im using a leave in i dont particularly like but need to use it up before i get another one lol
Oh wow it’s funny because I’m doing this right now while watching this lol ❤️ I only started doing it to keep water/oil from dripping & running down my neck when I re moisturize my hair mid week 🥰
👋🏽Nice video. I remember doing this a lot over the years. Funny I did it last night but only used a scarf. I was so sleepy I could not even deal with my hair no more after I moisturized it. Lol. But now I am rocking my plastic bun green house look just because I can. Lol hey wrap a scarf around that bun girl and do your thing is my idea for today and tomorrow. But gonna rinse it out with ice cold water when I get a chance, and wash with a deep conditioner. It is all about happy trim days when it’s time to trim those ends, right?. Happy tenting ladies. And yes tent your whole head too. Heat it up girl. 🥰🦋🧖🏾♀️👈🏽
i usually see ppl do this in winter months (in places that have winter seasons) and no I see the community doing it for an every other day routine. Very smart.
Ooo I’m definitely going to try this! BTW where did you get your bonnet from? I don’t usually where one because they always slip off but this one has a headtie at the front!
Thank you for sharing! I wear twistouts/braidouts, and I usually retwist once, sometimes twice per week. How does this work if I need my hair dry and styled by the next morning?

Such a blessing to have that much healthy hair... it's a dream !!! 🤩
I do this with a throwaway shower cap you find in hotels, really traps in heat which is great for moisture!!
I like doing the green house effect periodically which is similar to the baggy method. I lightly spritz my hair and cover my entire head with a plastic cap.
Me too, but I don't spritz my hair beforehand.

It’s important people realise genetic is a huge factor. It’s not even because she is mixed race it’s just genetics.
Definitely genetics.
@@falisali3685 Agreed
Use petroleum jelly from root to ends to retain length and to keep it easily moisturized.
Make sure you don’t have any deficiencies.
Iron, zinc, and vitamin D are a few the affects hair..

Getting my braids down this weekend, I'll definitely try this method while rocking my natural hair😍
Take it out from the very ends because you never know how much your hair has grown.

It's amazing❗

your hair is SO beautiful!!! thank you for the tips 💕
This is very unique so basically deep conditioning the ends

Thanks, I'm going to give it try. I'm experimenting with black rice water now, so let's see what happens.

your density...is why i am here🤩🤩🤩
Looks interesting but I have tighter coils and I don't want single strand knots
Braid the pony tail Or rubber band ponytail it ?Then bun it ? Then baggy if that stretches for u
Use petroleum jelly all throughout your hair, to ease your strands and to keep it more simply moisturized.

Do a hair video of ur daughter. Would love to see what products you use now
I read that castor oil does improve and moisturize the hair, but isnt proven to promote growth. I was surprised 😮.
Castor oil is the best thing to promote hair growth. Thats what i use to grow my hair and it grows suupeer fast
Hair growth comes from the scalp. What you are doing promotes length retention. Both are important.
I want that sleep bonnet.
I do, too! It’s so pretty ☺️
Dam im early today, thanks for the reminder, your hair still looks soo beautiful 🥰🥰😙
You a really good TH-camr I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do you know if a product that can make curly hair shiny❓
Your hair is soo long 😍😍

you can try it as a prepoo. i like doing it with a moisturizer and oil. a moisturizer on the hair and the oil on top. feels amazing.
Question, can i just use oil say argan oil instead? apply only to my end because i dont have the energy to do my whole head.
Yes!! Just make sure to dampen your hair first with some water of other liquid of choice 🥰
