GH2 Lighting Reference - YYZ

  • It's cool to see what lighting the game is using during the song. I didn't know you could use keyframes in other events beyond [lighting()].
    What I like most about this song is the use of keyframes, which use different velocities in the MIDI to make the changes happen at the right time.
    Also, GH2 only activates the keyframes when the rock meter is in the green zone. That's why the game isn't changing it in the beginning. It's possible to "fix" that in world_objects_worldbase.dta by changing the next keyframe to happen when the kExcitement is "Okay" instead of "Great." (Not much sure about this now)
    The video that inspired this one is "Guitar Hero II - Lighting Reference (All Venues)" by mariteaux. Both videos are very helpful in showing what is going on with the lights in GH2.
